Stephen Goldsmith, former mayor of Indianapolis and author of multiple excellent books: “Turnaround vividly depicts how aspirational reform can produce transformative change, not only in the institutions involved but also in the faces and lives of those affected. The documentary serves as a learning tool for all those reformers who know their cities and schools can do so much more. The film is all the more valuable because it does not merely celebrate a straight line to success, but rather shows that mid-course corrections and constant adaptation must be part of the journey.”

Joe Klein on Substack: "Good things are possible. For example: the longtime, and brilliant, government reformer (Reinventing Government, Laboratories of Democracy) David Osborne has produced an inspiring documentary about News Orleans where every public K-12 school is a charter. You can and should watch it here: kinema.com/films/turnaround-…"

When the power goes out in New Orleans, we want to make sure people have a place to stay warm, charge their phones, and access critical resources. It’s an honor to champion #CommunityLighthouses in #LA02 and to see the real difference they’re making when it matters most.

In the wake of the deadly attack on Bourbon street earlier this week, Pelicans star Zion Williamson is donating $100,000 to the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Tragedy fund, telling ESPN: “As a father, son and someone who loves the community, this hit me hard. New Orleans is a city defined by its vibrant spirit and unwavering sense of community. In the face of tragedy, we come together to lift one another up.
At Abita, we’re proud to stand with our city. For the next two weeks, a portion of proceeds from Abita Beer sales will be donated to the Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) Relief Fund to support the victims and survivors of the New Year’s Day tragedy.
Together, we can help our neighbors and support the city we all love, one pint at a time.
Drink with purpose. Support with pride. Because in New Orleans, we’re stronger together.
