Day 2 | @MoICT_Ug Performance Review Retreat
The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Rt. Hon. @JustineLumumba, has called on the @pdpoUG to expand compliance efforts into different sectors through a structured approach that strengthens compliance across all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Speaking during the Ministry's Performance Review Retreat, the Minister urged MDAs to lead by example, emphasizing the need to work as one Government and make data protection the foundation of Uganda's digital transformation.
Echoing this call, @Birikujja, National Personal Data Protection Director, also emphasised the need for collective effort to strengthen compliance.
"We need the support of the entire spectrum, starting with the ICT sector and all other MDAs, to strengthen compliance with the law on data protection", he noted.

February, 2022:
We had our very first meet-up at @HiveColab - Mbarara. 30 attendees showed up to learn more about leveraging Cloud platforms to build local solutions. We have never looked back, and we aim for a bigger, vibrant, and impact-driven community in western Uganda.
The Cloud is just another maze.. Just one error on the cloud is like a battle to fight for freedom.. Now thinking of my own private cloud. I wont suffer in the cloud maze

Everything being done by the Kampala establishment makes it utterly hard to ever have a peaceful transition whether within themselves or with an outlier. It won't even be possible to have a reconciliation program until scores are settled. We'll need more 30 years to heal & build.
