Over a third of murders across the West Midlands in the last two years have been linked to HMOs.
The murders have either occurred inside one of the properties or involved someone living in one.

Booting out Brits to make way for migrants?
A landlord was reportedly offered £4,500 a month by a Home Office contractor to house asylum seekers in a property currently rented to Southwark Council for £1,790.
This one refused, but how many will evict their tenants for a nice payday at our expense?
All of this has to stop. Britain needs a period of negative net migration, and we demand a referendum to say: "Enough is enough!"

Still don’t fully understand how the Sunday Times / Insight has availed itself of the services of a Sicilian polyglot sleuth and writer who has unravelled Cold War cold cases, royal peppercorn rent scandals and Reform finances. All I know is we’re very lucky and very proud.
His latest turn is the Vatican and money. DEVIL’S BUSINESS will be a glorious book and, @manumidolo can now share, TV series too. Posting now so I can say I did before it was cool. Follow him for more:

'The constitution' is the way the civil service stops ministers doing anything - even Labour ministers. Very honest by @darrenpjones - he agrees with Reform we need to abolish the Cabinet Office and change incentives to make civil servants serve the public. politics.co.uk/2026/10/darre…
Blair/Brown created this. Now Labour are being hoist on their own petard.
🚨 Darren Jones: officials repeatedly told me I couldn’t act ‘because of the constitution’
The former chief secretary to the PM told PACAC:
- “I would often reply with, ‘The constitution’s unwritten. So if I decide to do something, it changes. Therefore, why can’t I do it?’”
- He tried to “abolish the Cabinet Office three times”
- He was not “allowed to abolish the Cabinet Office”
