This Chamath clip is polarizing.
He trashes the Bitcoin thesis and spends 2 minutes shilling effectively Zcash.
That being said, as a Bitcoin holder, I don’t agree with his views on hacks. Feels off, but maybe he is being authentic.
Either way, it’s a major push “away” from Bitcoin and sets up what he’s pushing “towards”, so to speak…
$ZEC $BTC
If I was thinking of the "cabals" I'd love to be a part of in crypto, it's a fairly short list (for now)...
The best talent in the industry is participating in a few core ecosystems in some way, shape, or form.
New investors will believe in the thesis and buy in. More talent & attention will come throughout the bull.
It’s a self-reinforcing flywheel, the question is: which cabals are worth it? Who will win? What’s the network with the most staying power?
Once you find your answer, develop your thesis, accumulate, and hold.
This is how you win in crypto.
Slow money.
So many new launches coming, some very big ideas & bigger products launches are on the horizon.
From what we’re hearing, a lot of they are coming from high quality teams w/ real emerging PMF, a liquid token, and of course, an absolutely busted chart.
Things are cooking in crypto right now tbh

BTC to $5m when this works
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.
Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.
Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.
Lending, spot DEX exchanges, and yield protocols are about to become extremely appealing from an R:R perspective.
DegenSpartan bull market is going to return to DeFi Summer names.
I'm nearly certain of it, here's why and how to position for it:
The Tokenization Supercycle is the most powerful undercurrent in the entire industry. Nothing else compares.
It's a multi year secular trend to bring trillions of dollars of assets onchain, which will grow DeFi value by 50x or more.
It's going to happen lightning fast, as well.
In addition to this force, a brutal bear market where $BTC only went down -50% but the alt complex lost 95% of value has created a seismic shake up in the philosophy of the industry's greatest investors: they are no longer settling for narratives and memetics, they want to see value and economics.
Founders are forced to adapt to the new climate to produce the same results as before.
(Many got rich without producing a ton of value, who will always exist in the industry, yet are now watching from the sidelines in a way...)
This is bullish.
Meanhwile, one can guess what these protocols are doing? Building real businesses. Building out better token structures. Thinking long-term and onboarding institutional players.
$ENA is one that comes directly to mind here but also $UNI, $AAVE, and to some extent $LINK. These protocols are improving their unit economics at the same that Wall Street is realizing they are 5 years behind onchain finance is about to swallow some part of their flow.
(They're in trouble).
Meanwhile, protocols with battle-tested smart contracts, efficient business lines, and a real founder presence with institutional allocators will re-rate hard.
$PENDLE & $MORPHO come to mind here.
The game for founders is a lot harder now, which in a way, makes our life easier as investors. Also, when the TL starts talking shit about Stani and Aave - it’s hard not to get perked up about DeFi OG tokens.
Higher.
Dom, respectfully - you are full of shit and a complete LARP.
Tearing down others doesn't help your situation at ICP.
Let's go through some facts about the "Internet Computer", an completely unoriginal and uninspiring name swiped from Ethereum's world computer:
- 3,870 daily active users (lol, lmfao really)
- spent millions of dollars on terrible conference marketing to get exit liquidity in 2021-2022
- down 99.9% from all time highs
- company makes ZERO revenue
- team max extracted and contributed negative value to the industry
- the transactions on the network are clearly wash traded/bot volume and one claude prompt will get you there
You've contributed practically nothing to the industry yet got rich as f*ck, funny how that works. To be clear, and concise:
$ICP is a total shitcoin, has zero reason to exist, and this post reeks of desperation & pure jealousy.
Envy is a major sin, and you should celebrate the successes of others, rather than try to tear them down. This industry is far too small to not grow the pie.
Ask any ZK, privacy, or developer about NEAR's TEEs and confidential tech and they will tell you the same thing: it's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good for onchain privacy in 2026.
Meanwhile, ICP is still paying the worst KOLs in the industry to promote while you dump on side wallets and OTC.
Rant over. Don't fuck with NEAR.
This is craazy. I asked one of our PhD engineers to look into NEAR *Confidential* Intents wondering how they designed their system. Unredacted, word-for-word, this was his answer 😱😱😱
"Everything I found out about the privacy claims and confidential intents is so bad that it seems almost comical and I cannot believe what I am seeing. Apparently they run a completely separate instance of the protocol, which is called FAR (as an opposite to NEAR), and that has a permissioned operator set. The entire confidentiality claim seems to rest upon the fact that it is a permissioned chain and the nodes are trusted to keep things private, there doesn't seem to be any deep technology behind it and it also does not seem to be open source. The entities running the nodes are also not publicly known.
I almost feel weird writing this because it is so absurdly bad that it feels like ... I don't know ... a simulation? I know the usual level of overpromising in Web3 but this is so many levels beyond believable that it still feels unreal."

NEW: How To Value L1s vs. Onchain Businesses w/ @zeroxkyle
You can’t value L1s like an onchain business. However, can you consider them a store of value asset if their collateral quality, moneyness properties, and holderbase isn’t quite there yet?
What about if it’s so early in their development? Founder quality?
Treasury & emissions? Unique edge or insight?
How about if they’ve only gone through one market cycle? 2? 3?
These are the questions investors need to think about for the new era of digital asset investing.
Welcome to the rodeo lads

"What the hell is Pearl?"
Some of the best positions start with a question you can't answer.
Two weeks ago, Andy put Pearl in front of a Token2049 panel full of seasoned traders. Even they didn't have it figured out.
Nobody had a clean answer. Kyle admitted he'd ignored it the whole time and missed it.
So Andy went and did the research himself.
The supply dynamics. The mining rewards. The TAM.
Now he's accumulating.

The more I research Pearl, the more I get pulled in.
AI money is equally exciting as it is confusing. It's equally left curve as it is right curve. The supply dynamics, the mining rewards, the TAM -- all of it is extremely interesting to understand deeply.
I'm accumulating my desired quantity of network ownership on this one.
To be continued...
