After many years of reporting security and humanitarin issues in Zamfara and the northwest, I’m Glad to inform many well wishers that for the past few months, I have joined a non-governmental humanitarian organisation, bringing an end to my journey as a journalist. This remain a careful and thoughful decision, as I remain within the service of our communities. I remain thankful for your support and prayers.

Even when you disagree with an ideology, violence is never the answer. Sheikh Massusuka was highly intelligent & practised his faith by embracing religious tolerance in Islam over strife. He vehemently opposed terrorism & challenged many practices widely accepted as religious norms.
This generation may never see another voice as fearless in critically examining interpretations & practices within the Islamic faith. The government must now apprehend the perpetrators & bring them to justice to help ease tensions.
So, so sad! Allah yasa can tafi nan. Ameen Ameen.

It began with the gruesome murders of Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam in Kano and Sheikh Umar Hamza Dan-Maishiyya in Sokoto, both in 2007.
Seven years later, in 2014, Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Albani Zaria was also assassinated in Kaduna.
Today, in 2026, in a similar vein, unknown gunmen killed Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka in Katsina.
This is a very dangerous development in Northern Nigeria. Do not rejoice at these killings. Your favourite cleric is not safe either. None of us is truly safe.
May there be peace in our fatherland, Nigeria. Amin. May Allah (SWT) forgive the shortcomings of our departed loved ones, amin.

It’s been 163 days since 42 school children between the ages of 2 and 14 (only 4 are 15 years old) were abducted from their school in Askira-Uba, Borno State. 💔 @GovBorno @ProfZulum, we are still painfully waiting to hear the progress made by security forces to bring them home!!!!

Unfortunately, the factors that push people to move, not only Pastoralists but also many dwellers in rural communities, in search of pasture and water, good yielding farmlands, livelihoods and security had not been addressed.

No northern governor has invited him to support his initiatives on fighting disability & insecurity in Nigeria. A talent that was recognized by many tech enthusiasts globally. But skillful beggars like Rarara who have absolutely nothing to offer to our development have free access to every single government house in Northern Nigeria. Tomorrow if the boy decides to japa, we would be shouting brain drain.
I have launched the actual test of this AI Glass that I built to help blind people and people with visual impairments
I started testing it directly on the face of a person with a visual impairment to see how it would work in real life👓
And what amazed me the most is that after the blind person wore the glass, he said that for him, it was amazing

There’s nothing complex about Nigeria’s insecurity problems.
1. Nigerian security forces are capable of combating these issues.
2. Nigeria has the resources to address the challenges of insecurity.
3. The only thing lacking is the political will of the leaders.
These are established facts that experts in the field have attested to.
