Yesterday was one of the most enjoyable streams I've ever done and it was a joy to share a special night in politics with a community that truly cares. To be honest, I'm so glad it's becoming more normalized in streaming spaces to talk more openly about stuff like this. The rules of "no politics" in streaming spaces have to end. we have such an insanely privileged job when there is so much horrible shit happening in the world and it's on us to be able to educate, empower, and show that progressive views are not only normalized, but popular and can cause seismic shifts in better policies and lives for people all over whether you're in the US or not. Last night was eye opening for me. I've been a card-carrying DSA member in my local chapter since I moved to North Carolina and I encourage people in the US to look into their own. I plan on trying to do more political and educational streams after last night and also do more locally, which if YOU are able to in your own community as well you absolutely should. The hardest part is taking the leap. Once you find like-minded people in your community you learn the power of the difference that you can make. Every little change and policy can snowball into a world of change. Yesterday was incredible and I have never looked at the future of US politics in my adult life more positively. But that means we ALL have to make sure we keep the momentum high. I know we can and I plan to leverage my own community and the communities I'm a part of to do what we can to keep making positive change. Love you guys
