My @disabilitychall film "Back to the Dark Ages" is out!
Know how there's been zero representation of characters who wear masks and/or have Long COVID in the media? That changes today! Watch the new dramedy "Back to the Dark Ages", which features the story of Christina, a woman living with Long COVID, who accidentally summons a medieval ghost who has lived through a plague or two in her own time. You can help us in the competition by liking, commenting on, and sharing the video linked in this post.
Authentically cast and made by a mostly disabled team working together with seasoned industry professionals, it was very important for me to make a piece with high production values to do this important topic justice.

If a march calling to boycott Jewish-owned businesses, held on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, is not explicitly antisemitic, what is?

Singling out and targeting Jewish-owned businesses in Philadelphia is blatant antisemitism. Staging this on the eve of the anniversary of Kristallnacht makes it especially shameful and dangerous.
The Constitutional right to peaceful protest does not give anyone a pass to intimidate neighbors or target people based on their faith and heritage.
We must call this what it is, reject this hate, and stand firmly in support of local Jewish business owners.

I am disturbed by reports that businesses in Philadelphia are being targeted for boycotts because they have Jewish owners.
We are guaranteed the right to peaceful protest and to freedom of speech. It is fundamental to who we are as Americans. That includes the freedom to oppose the war in Gaza, and the actions of the Netanyahu government.
Yet we must speak clearly when confronted with blatant antisemitism. Targeting businesses simply because they are owned by Jews — and on the eve of Kristallnacht, when Nazis terrorized Jewish families, businesses and synagogues — is unacceptable.
I believe protesting in this way is harmful and misguided, and I urge the organizers to desist.
It gets stupider. The ambulance services Solomonov donated to have a history of helping Palestinians whenever they are in an area these services can access AND they regularly get deployed to help disaster victims in countries like Haiti and Nepal.

What's interesting about this ad that by all accounts may have won Colom this race is that this ad isn't aggressive or mean at all. It's fun and pleasant, and it shows there's a gigantic audience out there for political ads that aren't just ppl completely eviscerating each other.

If Scott Colom wins MS, with almost no national level support, it would probably be because of this most brilliant ad out of the entire campaign cycle.

Risks were generally higher in unvaccinated and hospitalized patients.
