She unironically could be the first trans president. She's got the juice.

I have plenty of criticisms of Islamists, Islam, and related issues. But the attacks on Abdul Sayed were Islamophobic. Some people went after him simply because he’s Muslim; others treated a few words he said in Arabic as enough to disqualify him.

It gets stupider. The ambulance services Solomonov donated to have a history of helping Palestinians whenever they are in an area these services can access AND they regularly get deployed to help disaster victims in countries like Haiti and Nepal.
Has @willforphilly said anything about the Kristallnacht bike ride?
Just a reminder that the stated reason they are targeting Solomonov on the Kristallnacht bike ride is because he donated to medical relief organizations after October 7th.
A spokesperson for Gov. Josh Shapiro said the boycott ride is 'nothing more than blatant antisemitism.' phillyvoice.com/philly-bike-…

Very interesting on the progressive v moderate performance debate.
"the 39 moderates in qualifying races beat their benchmarks by just under one percentage point of vote share. The 21 progressives fell short by a similar amount. However, these effects varied by geography: the penalty for progressivism was greatest in redder areas. All eight lefties in our analysis who ran in places where Kamala Harris won less than 55% of the vote finished short of their benchmarks, by an average of 2.7 percentage points. That may sound modest, but subtracting it from the winner’s vote share in every state would have changed the outcome in six of the past seven presidential elections. For moderates, the trend was reversed: their overperformance was concentrated in Republican-voting areas."
My contribution to the interminable progressives-vs-moderates electability debate. Modeled expected vote shares for every race. tl;dr I had weak priors but landed on team mods. economist.com/graphic-detail… cc @mattyglesias @MattBruenig @gelliottmorris @JakeMGrumbach @neeratanden
Just a comparison here, more people voted D this election than voted for Mitt Romney in 2012.
New @CookPolitical: with more than 113 million votes counted, Dems' national lead in the House vote is up to 12.8 points. cookpolitical.com/vote-track…
Anyone know a lib-ish country singer that we can run for the TN Senate seat?

The worst-performing Democrats in competitive Senate races were the candidates Bernie endorsed. (link in next tweet, no paywall)
I am hereby giving Hasan Piker credit for one (1) thing: Challenging @willsommer to explain Asmongold to @Timodc was a masterstroke that produced some incredible contnet.

Ron DeSantis is like that one employee who survived mass layoffs because he was the only one who did his job and now he can shit talk all his former coworkers and they can't do shit because he's the only one left standing.
These are completely reasonable and good steps to actually expand healthcare coverage and it would have been great if this is what we were talking about for the past 10 fucking years.

man sure is a bummer for the anti Jewish business boycott bike ride to have picked kristalnacht for their bike ride. so unlucky, there were 364 other days in the year. what an unfortunate coincidence
