1/ bitcoin:native rose 1.51% to $84,055.22 in 24h. The total crypto market cap rose 1.36%. Bitcoin’s 24h correlation with SPY was 0.79. Technology and AI earnings sentiment drove the risk-on move. SpaceX revenue soared 161%. Super Micro Computer gave positive guidance. 2/ Bitcoin saw $84.26 million in liquidations over 24h. Shorts made up 92% of that amount. Forced buying amplified the rally. Derivative mechanics added volatility. Watch funding rates and open interest for squeeze exhaustion. 3/ Bitcoin trades in an $80,000 to $87,000 range. The 7-day SMA is near $83,100. Holding above that level and breaking $87,000 could target $88,000. A rejection could lead to a retest of $80,000. 4/ Near-term Bitcoin triggers: a daily close above $84,200 is bullish. A close below $82,000 is bearish. The Fed rate decision on October 28 is the key macro catalyst. The market awaits a decisive move. 5/ ethereum:native rose 0.97% to $2,471.00. Bitmine staked 159,728 ETH worth about $390 million on October 20 to 21. Total staked holdings reached about 5.23 million ETH. This locks supply and signals institutional conviction. 6/ Ethereum saw $47.99 million in liquidations over 24h. Shorts were the majority. The total crypto market cap lift and AI sentiment helped. Ethereum faces resistance at $2,500. A daily close above that level could target the 30-day SMA at $2,579. 7/ Ethereum support sits near $2,470 and $2,380. The Hoodi testnet upgrade activates on October 26. A drop below $2,380 signals renewed weakness. Spot volume must accompany a break below $2,500. My view stays cautiously bullish, with patience over chasing.

PHP vulnerability is real. I give advice to governments. They are panicking. Here’s why: Internet panic because more than 70 percent of websites are on PHP eg Wordpress. But these sites are patched easily and most react fast. Large companies and governments face structural barriers that slow or prevent rapid response: - Complex inventories where PHP is embedded in appliances, legacy control panels or custom internal systems rather than obvious public websites. - Strict change-management, testing, and compliance requirements that make emergency upgrades risky or slow. - Vendor dependencies for appliances or long-term support contracts that may not ship timely backports. - Preference for stability over updates, leading to multi-year lags on supported versions. CISA and European agencies advised inventorying all PHP instances, prioritizing internet-facing ones, and taking systems offline if they cannot be updated, particularly those on PHP 8.1 or older. - Multiple European government sites went offline preemptively while patches were pending. - These are legacy problems. In contrast, many smaller or cloud-native sites can apply distribution packages, rebuild containers, or rely on hosting providers within hours. Let’s see how this is being tackled.
The PHP security team is giving advance notice: Upcoming security release Wed, Oct 21st 2026, 14:00UTC, two critical vulnerabilities, both rated CVSSv4 9.2. PHP users are encouraged to prepare to update. Earlier release if details become public or active exploit evidence.

Bitcoin at $82,829: Why a 95% Correlation With the S&P 500 Should Worry Long-Term Believers

1/ bitcoin:native climbed 1.67% to $82,829.06 in 24 hours, moving in lockstep with the S&P 500. The 95% correlation shows traders treat the token like a high-beta tech stock. Macro signals, not crypto-specific news, drive the current rally. 2/ The total digital asset market cap rose 1.95% to $2.78 trillion, confirming a broad-based advance. Layer 1 protocols and ecosystem tokens each gained roughly 2%. This breadth shows capital rotates across core sectors instead of chasing one coin. 3/ Derivatives fueled the move. Exchanges liquidated $57.5 million in positions over 24 hours, and short sellers made up over 82% of the total. That means the market squeezed $47.31 million in shorts, and forced buying pushed the spot price higher. 4/ Institutional money returned with force. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $526.7 million net inflow on October 20. BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust led the buying. This reversed recent outflows and provides a concrete demand floor under the current price. 5/ Technicals point higher. Bitcoin printed a golden cross. It trades between $80,000 support and the 38.2% Fibonacci resistance at $84,449.90. A daily close above $84,450 opens a path to $87,364. A loss below $80,000 targets the 50-day simple moving average near $83,650. 6/ The Federal Reserve meeting on October 27 and October 28 is the key near-term trigger. A hawkish tilt could quickly erase recent gains. A dovish tone could push the market through resistance. Traders must position carefully before the announcement. 7/ Market sentiment stays cautiously optimistic. The Altcoin Season Index sits at 61. A sustained move above 65 would confirm a rotation into altcoins. The total market must hold the $2.77 trillion support to target $2.83 trillion. Consistent ETF inflows will confirm the trend.

Can Bitcoin hold the $80,615 support line, or is a brutal liquidation cascade inevitable? 👇👀

1/ bitcoin:native trades at $81,556.51, down 0.81%. It now shows an 85.9% correlation with gold, proving institutional players view it as a legitimate inflation hedge rather than just a speculative tech asset. 2/ Persistent inflation and restrictive Federal Reserve expectations drive broader market weakness. Total crypto capitalization contracted 0.62% to $2.73 trillion as tight monetary policy drains liquidity from risk assets. 3/ US equities show sharp divergence. Tech stocks like Amazon and Nvidia gained ground, while traditional banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America declined following recent earnings reports. 4/ The 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.14% due to elevated oil prices. Global markets reflected this hesitation, with Asian and European indices dropping amid political instability and inflation fears. 5/ Bitcoin failed to reclaim its 7-day Simple Moving Average at $81,846.82. Spot volume rose 24.85%, and US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $228.6 million in net outflows last week. 6/ The immediate technical battleground is the $80,615 swing low. A break below this critical support risks accelerating the decline toward $78,000, while $82,133 acts as formidable resistance. 7/ Open interest rose 8.27%, and average funding rates jumped 82%. Traders are aggressively adding leveraged long positions, creating a fragile setup ripe for a sharp liquidation-driven correction. 8/ Capital actively rotated out of recent winners like the Binance Alpha category, which fell 6.52%. Investors redirected these funds into higher-beta narrative tokens. Memecoins gained 5.3%, and the Solana ecosystem advanced 0.91%. This behavior indicates healthy profit-taking and momentum chasing within the altcoin space.

If community could be bought, multi-billion-dollar-valued chains would have lots of people cheering for them. Where are the people? Genuine connection remains something money cannot buy.
