When Bihar set out to spend Rs 500 crore on a new museum, an academic went to court to stop it. A state this poor, he argued, couldn't afford it.
This week, that museum was ranked ninth in the world, above New York’s Met and the Louvre.
Swarajya walked through it last year.🧵

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that this is the same village 28 years apart. I went down every alley on Google street view. All the homes are like the last 2 pictures.
For reference, Karnataka’s GDP per capita in 1998 was $1000 in today’s USD. Today it is roughly $5000. This is what a 5x improvement in prosperity looks like on the ground
They should make a reality TV show where a condescending old school Oxford educated @INCIndia politician used to courting impoverished, illiterate villagers (image one) for votes wakes up from a 28 year coma and tries the exact same rhetoric and tactics in the same exact village … except the voters are now educated, live in concrete homes, and have piped water (images 2 and 3).
Would be an interesting crashout

Remember that your Leftist friend wants this back.
In order to fit in with her online white friends, your Liberal friend will oppose the party that gave these people pucca homes and tap water and electricity.
Yes, Left-liberals really are this evil. They will plunge a billion people into abject poverty just for a tinge of approval from Al Jazeera, BBC and The Economist.

Have you seen a regionalist, a leftist, or an Islamist tweeting in this manner?
It's primarily the BJP support base that fights the MAGA racists and talks with excitement about rocket launches and nuclear energy, etc.

🅱️ullas keep using Hindu names to sell to Hindus then why shouldn't we do the same?

Due to your mess @airindia , my luggage has failed to arrive in Jodhpur. Your ground staff has made me fill out paper forms like it is the last millenium and vaguely replied that my luggage “may” come mostly by tomorrow (I know it never will). She doesn’t know where my luggage is. And here I am in Rajasthan without clothes. Am never flying with you again ever . Have DMed you all the info that you need. If you have an iota of consciousness, you will reply in time

Rahul Gandhi drops the last letter from the name of Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
Now Congress says this is a new style of getting attention on X.
Should we also start dropping the last alphabet from both ‘Rahul’ and ‘Gandhi’ just to get attention?
A little unsolicited advice to Congress: Fight us on the ground, through both the ballot and the EVM, not through attention seeking tricks on social media.

Let me attempt to add few arguments to help understand this social phenomena:
In India, all-consuming, round-the-clock advocacy for a free Palestine is rarely a simple reaction to foreign news/Social media commentary. It is an act of political self-fashioning, an ongoing construction of identity and belonging achieved through transnational solidarity. As Margaret Keck and Kathryn Sikkink show in "Activists beyond Borders", people separated by continents join global campaigns to satisfy a deep psychological need for shared values and collective meaning.
What converts a conflict thousands of miles away into a personal moral imperative?
Lawrence Wilde’s research (2004) on solidarity suggests that recognising the suffering of others generates a binding psychological commitment grounded in common causes rather than physical proximity. Advocates in the Global South frequently map this distant crisis onto their own ideological frameworks such as anti-colonialism, human rights, or resistance to systemic power.
Simona Sharoni's research (2015) illustrate how disparate social justice movements treat the Palestinian cause as a unifying proxy, a single struggle through which they contest perceived oppression worldwide. Social media significantly amplifies this continuous immersion possible.
Hedy Greijdanus's study (2020) demonstrate how digital echo chambers lower the threshold for participation, rapidly generating shared realities and ready-made activist communities.
By circulating symbols, narratives, and outrage without pause, the distant advocate merges personal conviction with a global movement turning a remote geopolitical conflict into an inseparable part of daily life and self-definition.

That is the first principle from which everything else flows. We must hate Muslims, which in itself, is the fundamental premise through which evil is understood.

It’s not about culture either, it’s about hate for Muslims. That’s all Indian right wing is.

just heard someone say "people are more important than the economy" and it occurred to me that some people genuinely believe that others care about the economy because they like numbers going up and not because it drives living standards for the population

I donated every year to Médecins Sans Frontières until they became ideologically captured by the woke and started actively helping Hamas/Hezbollah against Israel.
I supported them to keep the innocent alive and well, not to play politics.
That they are also involved in such ugly debauchery doesn't surprise me one bit.
Just a reminder that organisations such as these should be subject to more scrutiny before they are funded by the bleeding heart of 'developed' countries. These organisations can't be trusted. I look forward to a lib-piece justifying this lol

Staff of NGO Doctors Without Borders caught for mass scale sex-for-aid scandal. This sort of thing has been whispered about for years, glad the investigation found hard evidence in Chad. However, there should be investigations in other countries as well.

The pathetic mentality of association of shame with assembly by these retards is just hilarious, you assemble, you learn, you build, it is a step wise process. 'policy, politics and other thing' thing being inability to comprehend both.
Such an incredibly pathetic response by a minister to valid critic.
GST collected to defend corporate subsidy? Are you saying govt wouldn't have collected GST on mobile phones if there were no PLI? Also while you're at it, maybe also explain how and why GST on phones increased from 12% to 18% in 2020 (exactly around the time PLI came!?).
Indians are paying to be "assembler of Iphones". Let's not pretend otherwise.
