Police shoot Black man having a seizure with taser—7 times. He was putting up Halloween decorations outside his own home. EMS was treating him after he collapsed in his yard. "All of a sudden a cop shows up, shoves everyone out the way, and jumps on top of him," brother said. The officer has only been identified as Sgt. Price with the Chattahoochee Police Department. He claims he was just trying to assist EMS with a "combative individual" and encountered "physical resistance." Dwight Jackson is the man attacked by the cop. He says was not intentionally combative—was defenseless and only experiencing a medical emergency. Dwight Jackson described the experience as being "more terrifying than being in the war." Incident occurred outside his house on Chattahoochee Street in Chattahoochee, Florida.

These are the "American patriots" and "concerned Europeans" you're talking to on X. There's no reason to argue with computers. Just block them all and move on.

Israel has finally got him... Ihab Jamil Abu Taqiya, a squad commander in Hamas’ military wing who was involved in holding hostages, was successfully eliminated by the IDF in Gaza. Another one bites the dust.

Stephen Miller, the same guy who is responsible for the killing of American citizens by ICE terrorists, decided it would be a fun "joke" to dress his kids up as an homage to russia for Halloween. He even made the effort to buy a russian tank unit patch for his boy from a russian website. In the other image, a Ukrainian father crying over the body of his daughter killed in a russian drone strike. I honestly am starting to understand why many countries around the world hate America so much. They were warned this would happen and yet they chose this a second time. What the fuck are you going to do to wash this shame off you America?

Al Jazeera aired footage of Hamas's leadership before the war. In one clip, Hamas's former Chief of Staff Muhammad Deif and the group's leadership meeting before the 10/7 attack on southern Israel. Judging by the scenery and the significance of a meeting involving the who is who of Hamas, it's likely this meeting took place in a tunnel. Whether they met in secret or in an underground facility, it did not matter. All of the Hamas leaders pictured in this photo were killed by the Shin Bet and Israeli military.

A strong decision by the U.S. State Department – authorizing Ukraine’s purchase of Patriot interceptors to counter Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors is a substantial number, and very soon – this winter – they COULD make for a highly effective defense package. However, it has been stipulated that deliveries may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS. We are asking our American partners to find a solution for the time when there is a real danger and a real need to use PAC-3 interceptors. Right now, the Russians are attacking our energy infrastructure every single day. In just these past two weeks of October, there have already been more than 30 Russian strikes on critical parts of our power grid. It is right now, even before the beginning of winter, that Putin has started carrying out his operation to attack the systems that sustain life in our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supplies, bridges, and life in our cities in general. We did ask our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package – at a rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred missiles would be enough to protect our skies over the coming months – precisely when it is so important for Ukraine to be in a strong position in negotiations and for Russia NOT to succeed in breaking life in Ukrainian cities and communities. The United States, our European partners, and other partners around the world have sufficient stocks of PAC-3 interceptors in their warehouses. Providing them to Ukraine right now – in the winter of 2026–2027 – and replenishing our partners’ arsenals LATER, in THE FOLLOWING YEARS, through this production already contracted and paid for by Ukraine and our partners would be the right approach. And it is entirely feasible. We are grateful to President Trump. Importantly, we recently discussed PAC-3 interceptors with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Administration overall for granting this authorization. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of lives not the day after tomorrow or sometime later, but at the very moment the threat is there – when Russia is killing and destroying. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine! state.gov/releases/bureau-of…

Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery, Russia. I take it that yesterday’s latest Russian mass killing of civilians in Ukraine has finally put an end to the idiocy of “don’t strike Russia’s oil industry to show your profound gratitude to Donald Trump.”

Since a few Kyiv Independent readers have asked, I’d like to explain what happened with Caolan Robertson’s video, out of respect for our supporters. Our team found that a video on Caolan’s @CaolanReports YouTube channel included a fragment of an earlier Kyiv Independent video, used without permission and without a request for permission. It wasn’t just footage. It was an animated map that takes our team a lot of work to produce. Importantly, Caolan’s video cropped out our logo from the fragment. Instead of crediting our work, it fully removed the attribution to the Kyiv Independent. That isn’t citation or fair use. Our team member did what is standard when your content is used this way on YouTube: They filed a copyright report. YouTube reviewed the case and removed the video. We follow the same process whenever our work is used without permission, regardless of who the creator is. Worth noting that a removal like this doesn’t kill the creator’s work: The video can simply be re-uploaded without the copyrighted material. So I was surprised that Caolan instead chose to publicly attack the journalists whose work he lifted, and to appeal to journalistic solidarity in a case where he didn’t demonstrate any. Our team has been reporting on the ground in Ukraine since before the full-scale invasion. We’re independent, funded mostly by our readers, and we earn every dime. We’re very proud of our work, from front-line reporting to war crimes investigations. We respect the work of other journalists and expect the same for ours. I wish Caolan all the best in telling his audience about Ukraine. If he ever wants to use our work, he’s welcome to ask, like anyone else. We are all on the same side when it comes to this: We want as many voices as possible telling the world about Ukraine. But being on the same side means respecting and crediting each other’s work. Credit matters because the reporting everyone draws on has to come from somewhere. Thank you.
