Congrats to my daughter, Grace, @pascoschools @jwmhs class of 2024, winner of the FL-District 12 Congressional Art Competition. I am so proud of her. It was amazing to see her work in Cannon Tunnel at the U.S. Capitol. Many thanks to @RepGusBilirakis & staff.
Her work, "Itch You Can't Scratch," represents those who cannot get relief from chronic pain. I am so proud of her strength, dedication, and talent every day.

Deaf Jews faced added obstacles when fleeing Nazi Europe. Sisters Nelly and Lilly Rattner and their mother were detained on Ellis Island for five months. They were classified as "defective" under US immigration law and released only after paying a $2,500 bond.
ALT Two young girls are standing in front of a dark-colored wall on wooden floorboards. The girl on the left is taller. She is wearing a medium-light-colored peacoat with matching gloves. A portion of her polka-dotted dress peeks out of the collar of her coat. She is wearing a hat that covers most of her dark-colored hair. Her mouth is slightly ajar. She is holding hands with the shorter, younger girl next to her. The girl on the right is wearing a dark-colored coat with medium-dark-colored gloves. Her collar and hat are fur-lined. Both girls are wearing tights, stockings, and boots, and they are staring directly into the camera.
I’m happy for the kids to come, but sad to see the old school go. Nothing could replace the ramp! Many thanks to @GulfHSPrincipal for accommodating us today. Happy 100th @gulfhighschool
