BAP did the smart thing and layered his actual position (Straussian neoconservatism) in so much irony and equivocalism that he could always come out as in favor of/against any position at any given time. Captive Dreamer, Forney, and the like didn’t get the memo and went all…

There's nothing to explain. The state => nationalism model is just wrong. Germany and Italy were unifying actual pre-existing nations. Scotland and Ireland were separate nations before political unification.
thought provoking post
People don't talk enough about how Marxism is a regression back to Kant. Kant pointed out antinomies and said: this is contradictory, we cannot think about these things, metaphysics is impossible, we have to take a step back.
Hegel looked at the antinomies and instead said that it's precisely here where truth and reason lies. Things are contradictory by nature, and trying to eliminate contradiction is the error, recognising them and holding them together is recognising truth.
Marx then uses a Hegelian lens to analyse capitalism, and, naturally, he finds contradictions and points them out. Then, Marxists, in their infinite ignorance, look at the contradictions and conclude: "wow, contradictions can't exist, so capitalism will inevitably collapse!" No, that's precisely not what it means. Through contradictions is how a thing *stays* alive. Not having contradiction means you're dead. Capital having contradictions, then, is not a sign of its looming death but a sign of its vitality and strength.

“MAGA really wasted their period of cultural dominance”
“What period?”
“You know, when everyone thought they were cool”
“When was that?”
“Uh like, after the 2024 victory, they were so chic o algo. They were culturally dominant.”
“I don’t think that’s really true, what is your evidence?”
“Well look at this magazine cover. ‘The Cruel Kids Table.’”
“What does this show?”
“That they’re like. They were like culturally dominant.”
“I’m not so sure about that, but okay, do you have any other examples?”
“Uh well, let’s see…”

The venture is over. You didn't save the country. You didn't save your people. You became a slave to Israel and an international pony scheme.
Congrats

The whole point of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars is that this rusting husk of an empire lets an old has-been hype-guy stiffly waddle around, covered in kludges to keep him going, muttering slogans & performing tricks around middling administrators who hate him, farcically reliving old ideological rivalries with gray-haired hippies whose ideologies aren’t even relevant anymore, bringing swords to gun fights, portentously dueling in the midst of much bigger conflicts they ignore, ancient embodied knights in the gleaming machinic future, but precisely because of how moribund all of this is it ends up accidentally load-bearing: the moribund empire actually is moribund enough that it actually lets this moribund guy & his kind keep setting up & stumbling into keystones keeping this decrepit stubborn dying world afloat, so youngs can finally bury these larpy ossified parliamentary disputes from decades prior

you're kind of joking but this performance was one of those rare moments where americans celebrated something special together, and then chuds, of course, said the vilest things imaginable about alysa liu, which was the first instance of chud fatigue that i recall
i will defend hickman
I find this gang of "Hickman haters" on here to be hilarious. They're on here all day talking about what a stupid, lazy hypocrite I am, how wrong I was, etc.
But what has my way of thinking actually netted me?
I own two income-producing houses. I bought a $60k minivan for cash, and I have nearly a decade of our average monthly expenses banked. If you add passive income sources I've established to those savings, we could functionally retire with not much more effort. We're in a position where we could realistically move almost anywhere in the USA if we so chose.
None of this would've been possible if I hadn't moved to an isolated, dirt-cheap area and proceeded to live as frugally as possible while earning as much as I could. Because I did it for several years, I am now easily in the upper quartile of net worth for men my age. No part of this program required immoral acts, welfare, or big money backing me. I started with nothing.
Now, if I took the advice of these bad-faith detractors -- who told me to move to a large, high-rent metro area, fight for some kind of big job, go into debt for mortgages and such, get a credit card, blow big money on food and cars and utilities etc, I'd be broke and spinning my wheels right now like so many of them are. My family's quality of life would also be lower. Less free time, less time with our baby, etc.
In short, I took my own advice and won big because of it. Note that I've been consistent for years, telling people that they can do this stuff as a temporary measure to get way ahead if they so choose. Once you build real savings, you can go anywhere, do anything.
As for the "rural revival" stuff, I admit this hasn't worked quite as well; I was essentially wishcasting the idea into the public sphere to see what might stick -- as anybody who gains a large following online eventually might be tempted to try. Many people DID move to the hinterlands on my advice, and those I keep in touch with are doing well. Whether that'll ever translate to a real "revival" of rural areas is another question. We'll see.
For now, I'm functionally retired at the age of 32 by following the exact program I have promoted.
I don't want to say that these detractors are just jealous -- but hey, if the shoe fits...
