There’s no #ArchiveHour this month, so it’s the perfect opportunity to look back over the discussions hosted previously. Our most recent topics have been intangible cultural heritage, social media, and community archives but we’ve been here since 2017 so there is plenty to read!

100% agreed. I'd love to see the traditions surrounding Lá an Dreoilín (The Day of the Wren/ St Stephen's Day/ 26th December) in Dingle, Co. Kerry, added. This includes the wren boys, the fife & drum bands marching & playing, and possibly food & drink traditions.

Massive thanks to all who followed us as we hosted @archivehour last Thursday, and especially to our 3 fab guests @stagedreaction (@UniOfGalwayASC) @MaeveGebruers (@ITMADublin) & @lisatshortall (@HeritageHubIRE ). You can still follow & contribute to the convo at #ArchiveHour.
We'll be back at the end of May for the next #ArchiveHour but in the mean time please feel free to continue the conversation here - if you haven't been able to join us on tonight you're still welcome to contribute later.

Not sure where that hour went too! Thanks to @niamhnicharra @ARAIreland & @archivehour for inviting me. Lots of food for thought!
Huge thanks to our guests tonight @lisatshortall, @ITMADublin and @stagedreaction and to @niamhnicharra at @ARAIreland for hosting this month's #ArchiveHour!
And a bonus question to finish!
Bonus Q: What ICH from your region would you like to see inscribed on the Representative list of the ICH for Humanity? What can archivists do to support this process?

@archivehour Q7: Again there are many answers to this question but I will focus on one which has been a key priority for ITMA in the last year ...Rights! ITMA has a Commitment to free and open access to collections while respecting privacy and legal obligations #ArchiveHour
