Lo extraño de las comunidades online es lo cerca que puedes llegar a sentirte de personas que nunca has conocido.
Ves los mismos nombres en las publicaciones, intercambias mensajes, sigues lo que están construyendo y, poco a poco, empiezas a reconocer a la persona detrás del nombre de usuario.
Howard Rheingold, escritor e investigador de las comunidades virtuales, advirtió en una ocasión sobre el riesgo de confundir la herramienta con la propia comunidad:
«Hay que tener cuidado de no confundir la herramienta con el objetivo…»
La idea sigue siendo especialmente relevante en Web3. X, Discord y Telegram ayudan a que las personas se encuentren. Pero El Encuentro representa el momento en que esas conexiones online se convierten en una razón para reunirse en la misma sala.
Organizado por La Familia, la comunidad de Solana en España, El Encuentro 2026 es la reunión anual para quienes están construyendo en Solana, quienes quieren empezar y los proyectos que quieren conocer a la comunidad que los rodea.
La primera edición tuvo lugar en marzo de 2025 y llenó la sala. Este año, el 26 de octubre, la comunidad volverá a reunirse en Madrid.
El principal motivo para asistir es sencillo: tiempo.
Tiempo para conocer a alguien que ha venido desde otra parte de España. Tiempo para hablar con un builder cuyo trabajo llevas siguiendo online. Tiempo para hacer preguntas, comparar experiencias y descubrir en qué están trabajando otras personas.
También habrá charlas de miembros de la comunidad sobre lo que están construyendo y lo que han aprendido por el camino.
Los paneles abrirán conversaciones sobre lo que está ocurriendo en Solana desde España: hackathons, financiación, IA, pagos y otros temas que están dando forma al ecosistema.
Pero El Encuentro no es solo para quienes ya tienen un proyecto.
Si estás construyendo o desarrollando, podrás conocer a otras personas que están enfrentándose a retos parecidos.
Si eres founder o formas parte de un proyecto, podrás escuchar directamente a las personas y comunidades para las que estás construyendo.
Y si acabas de llegar a Solana, podrás venir con tus preguntas y aprender de gente que ya está involucrada.
La comunidad está repartida por toda España. La mayor parte del tiempo, las personas se encuentran a través de X, Discord o grupos de chat. Durante un día, tendrán la oportunidad de conocerse en persona y vivir la comunidad más allá de sus pantallas.
Eso es lo que hace diferente a El Encuentro de otra conversación online o de otro evento que se ve desde lejos.
El 26 de octubre, la comunidad de Solana en España se reunirá en Malasaña, Madrid, para disfrutar de un día completo de networking, charlas, paneles y aprendizaje compartido.

Decided to go deeper into research on what @fomopoly_rh is building;
One thing that makes Fomopoly interesting is how it connects virtual land ownership to an onchain economy.
Land plots are designed to generate stocks and $DEAL, giving ownership an economic role beyond simply holding a digital asset.
Then there's the pricing mechanic. Land prices are expected to increase as the game progresses, introducing a timing element that could influence how players approach the game. Of course, rising prices don't automatically guarantee profits. Actual value still depends on demand and how the market develops.
Another interesting detail is the hidden mechanic mentioned in the project's descriptions. Its exact functionality hasn't been fully revealed, but I'm curious to see how it contributes to the competitive side of the game.
The ecosystem also includes land trading, which could give players different ways to participate depending on their strategy.
And with a free mint whitelist already available, the project is working on building its community ahead of launch.
Personally, I want to see how $DEAL and stocks will work in practice, what the full gameplay looks like, and how all these mechanics come together.
The concept is interesting, but execution is what will make the difference.
Excited to see how Fomopoly does in the coming days.

Ok so I went down the rabbit hole and did some research on what a project I was interested in. Finally found one project on @rarelistio that looks good, the @fomopoly_rh campaign.
The rewards breakdown for the campaign include;
Top 20 on the leaderboard share $1000
20-100 share another $1000
Then for those who couldn't enter the top 100, the top 300 get to share in the $DEAL airdrop that the team is cooking. I think it looks good imo, at least I'll take getting into the top 300 as consolation if I didn't enter the top 100.

One thing I find interesting about Web3 gaming is how projects keep experimenting with ways to make digital ownership part of the actual gameplay.
Some projects focus on collecting assets, some revolve around completing tasks, and others introduce entire economies where players can own things and participate in how the ecosystem develops.
Fomopoly takes a different approach by building an onchain game around virtual land, trading, and a reward economy. Built on Robinhood Chain, the project puts land plots at the centre of its experience, with each plot designed to generate stocks and $DEAL tokens.
The idea is to create a game where owning land is more than just having something sitting in your wallet looking pretty. Your land is connected to the game's economic system, and the decisions players make are intended to be part of the experience.
And honestly, the concept is amusing when you think about it. People already argue over physical land in the real world, and now Web3 is giving us another place to argue over property. At least nobody needs to travel across town to inspect a virtual plot. 😂
The interesting question is how Fomopoly will turn this concept into an engaging game rather than simply another collection of digital assets.
Personally I'm looking forward to seeing how this project fares in the coming days.
