On this #WaybackWednesday we're talking about one of the first books I published — The Innkeeper & Other Short Stories! It includes a collection of 21 #shortstories, many of which can be read while sipping a glass of wine or two. Purchase on Amazon or AlanMulak.com

Often, once we retire, our lives shift in ways that allow us to pursue activities we've long loved, but thought lost. For me, one of those activities was #softball. Being able to participate in this sport I love again, really is a grown up dream come true #retiredlife #BabyBoomer

To have had the storyline & entertainment value of Baggage compared, even for a moment to Midnight In Paris… well, that’s flattering beyond words. Thanks Dan for the comparison, for reading Baggage & for sharing your feedback! #Bookreviews #MidnightInParis #GoodBooks

📚 It’s National #BookLoversDay & I’m taking a moment to appreciate one of my favorite #independentbookstores, Maria’s Book Shop in #DurangoCO ! For true #bibliophiles, finding a small book shop w/a big, well-crafted selection and a warm and welcoming vibe is like striking gold.

If you could start all over, would you? Rob Santos did just that ... until one day, when his past caught up with him. Intrigued? Reboot is now available for download for less than a cup of coffee. 📚📚Head to AlanMulak.com to check it out. #greatnovel #booklovers

⚡️Happy birthday to my most favorite fictional character EVER — Harry James Potter. Did you read the Harry Potter books or see all the movies? Which was your favorite? #HarryPotter #HappyBirthdayHarryPotter #BooksILove

🍺 Just a short stroll from the front door of our #Colorado home is the Dolores River #Brewery. For those of you who read Reboot, you might remember “DRB” as the setting for several scenes in that story. The characters may have been fictional, but the setting was the real deal!

The #BookReviews I receive from readers are really special to me. The fact that someone took the time to read my work, then share how much they enjoyed it (or didn’t) publicly is an absolute honor. Thank you Lois for your awesome feedback. It means the world to me! #GoodBooks

Will you visit any of the #NationalParks this summer? If you’re a #NationalParkNerd like I am, you likely already know how insanely crowded the parks are this year. Across the country, lines of cars form day after day, filled w/hopeful visitors hoping to get through the gates.

Talk about #storytelling with a VIEW! Packing a #GoodBook with you as you head out to relax & enjoy your #summervacation might seem #OldSchool —but you can’t be interrupted with online news updates or email notifications via the paper pages of your #books. Just sayin’. #GoodReads

Fly fishing with my grandsons is something I've fantasized about my entire adult life. I'm lucky enough to have not one, but FOUR awesome grandsons, all of whom seem to enjoy fly fishing in just about any setting. I can officially die a happy man now ... #flyfishing #colorado

Have you ever seen rock stacks like these along a trail? Have you ever made one? These rock stacks are called cairns (a Scottish/ Gaelic word). Sometimes they're trail markers, sometimes they're symbolic spiritual representations of balance, & sometimes they're just rock stacks.

Ahh, few things are as timelessly beautiful as wildflowers on a mountainside. I stumbled upon a huge patch of these amidst an aspen groves while hiking in Flagstaff, Arizona. #arizona #flagstaff #hikearizona #wildflowers
