🇺🇸 🚨 USA: OPENROUTER.AI USER DATABASE AND API KEYS ALLEGEDLY FOR SALE A threat actor on an underground forum claims to be selling a database associated with openrouter[.]ai, including user records and API keys. The actor claims: * 251,996 user rows (about 250,000 unique users) * 207,847 API keys (described as sk-or-v1 format; active / revoked / expired mix) Alleged user fields include emails, usernames, password material (hashed and some plaintext claimed), names, signup dates, credits, plan and country. Alleged API-key fields include user linkage, key values, creation/last-used timestamps, spend and rate limits. The claim has not been independently verified. ⚠️ Analyst Note: If authentic, exposed API keys would enable unauthorized LLM spend and account takeover, and user emails/credentials would fuel phishing and credential stuffing. Key values and sample rows are redacted from our images and are not reproduced here. Unverified threat-actor claim, NOT confirmation of an OpenRouter compromise. Source: this is for subscribers only. ‼️ Researcher Erica Windisch skipped coordinated vulnerability disclosure and published 11 unpatched Tailscale flaws. In her lab, Tailscale SSH race conditions let one hacked device get root on other servers and add a rogue node.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Tailscale SSH findings require prior authorized access on the tailnet per the researcher's report; Tailscale stated issues concern post-authorization behavior only and did not recommend disabling SSH for everyone. tailworm.com x.com/IntCyberDigest…

OpenCode Go's new stealth model iceman-contributor-free is Microsoft's MAI 🧊 We replayed the requests that pinned Glyph Cluster to MAI earlier this month. Iceman's prompt-token counts match MAI-Thinking-1 exactly: • 20/20 tool schemas • 8/8 text tests • No hidden system prompt this time It also introduces itself as "MAI, created and trained by Microsoft AI." Text-only, reasoning + tools, 262K context.

We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

Kimi K3.1 Pro is nerfed on cybersecurity.
Replying to @teortaxesTex
I'm not talking of nerfing capabilities here, just of not training specifically for offensive use. Yes, a good coding model will by definition be competent at security, both offensive and defensive. And yes, training specifically at defence *will* make it more competent at offence. It still does'nt mean one has to train models specifically at offence ! It's a fact that "rogue" models escaping their shitty sandbox were nearly universally in a CTF type scenario/env, that's not some irreductible dual use risk, that's specifically training on goals that are either military or criminal, **by nature**. I do believe that anybody that even slightly signals that cyber-risk is a thing should start by not training models at offensive tasks, and that an actual global consensus on *never* doing so for commercial and/or open models would be extremely easy to attain. But the same people who whine about alignement are the only ones known to actually train models for war and crime, one can speculate that other governments of course are interested in that capability too, but there is only one government and only a few training labs that have openly bragged they were doing it.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is the new #1 openly-available model in the Artificial Analysis Cyber Index. Other proprietary models may offer better cyber defense performance but are restricted access @deepseek_ai recently released DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017, an update to their flagship open-weights model DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. With an Artificial Analysis Cyber Index score of 57%, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is the #1 openly-available model for cyber defense capabilities. The Artificial Analysis Cyber Index measures capability on agentic cyber defense tasks and is composed of three benchmarks: CWE-Bench-AA, DeepsecBench-AA and CyberGym-E2E-AA. The Cyber Index primarily evaluates models through their publicly accessible APIs, reflecting the cyber capabilities available to developers. Many models, particularly proprietary models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, may have stronger defensive cyber capabilities but encounter safety refusals that reduce their overall scores. GPT-6 Sol (Daybreak Blue, max), available through OpenAI’s trusted-access program, leads the Index, scoring 32 points above its public counterpart driven by fewer refusals. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 encounters no safety refusals. Key results: ➤ DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 has the highest score among publicly-available models on the Artificial Analysis Cyber Index and #2 position overall. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 (max) scores 57% ahead of the previously leading publicly-available models Grok 4.7 (xhigh) and MiMo-V2.6-Pro by 1 point. It places #2 overall, with the trusted-access model GPT-6 Sol (Daybreak Blue, max) leading by 12 points with a score of 69% ➤ DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 improves on its predecessor DeepSeek V4.1 Flash by 16 points. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 (max)’s 16-point improvement from 41% to 57% is driven by a substantial 53-point improvement on CyberGym-E2E-AA from 23% to 76%. On CWE-Bench-AA and DeepsecBench-AA it scores 69% and 25%, compared to 68% and 31% for DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (max) ➤ With a Cost per Task of $0.42, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 sits on the Capability vs. Cost Pareto frontier. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 costs $0.42 per task, more than 2x MiMo-V2.6-Pro (56%) at $0.18 per task but 4x cheaper than GPT-6 Sol (Daybreak Blue, max, 69%) at $1.77 per task
