season 2 was a massive improvement with some of the best drama I've seen in TV, the score is ever-incredible, and season 3 looks ever better; the mystery-box storytelling is over and they're just hurtling toward the doom we know. there's never been a better time to get onboard!

I think that constantly doing this - evaluating if your partner is "the best you can do" and swapping them out for someone better - is no way to live. You don't stay with your person because they're the best one you can get, you stay with them because you love them.
it’s *wild* to me that Seyfried’s immediate gut critique of Charlie Kirk is that he was “performative when he was with people and another way alone” because the concept of “performance” is so central to the theme of the movie; you literally couldn’t have planned it better

Replying to @BriannaWu
People who hate trans people seem to think about trans people a lot more than anyone else.

Filmmaking can never be ethical. You are stealing light and sound and putting it inside a little box. That is not nice

Ok I get why people were just spoiling YCSE left and right because I really have spent all day just wanting to talk to and hear other people’s thoughts on it. Like did they also go “of course he has a folding phone” too
One of the funniest bits in You Can See Everything is when they do a montage of Liz and Billy making calls for Theranos 2.0 and it’s scored with Nolan-esque “inventor doing genius innovation” music

Never felt gayer than recognizing Amanda Seyfried’s apartment from her AD tour before the shot even panned over to her

I actually think “art must focus on something limited and highly specific in scope to truly mean anything” is a really insightful point, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a documentary! It’s just not a documentary about everything you wanted it to be about!
Theranos whistleblower @TylerShultz_ on why "You Can See Everything" is a great movie, but not a documentary. linkedin.com/pulse/great-fil…
so much well-earned You Can See Everything discussion right now, but I must emphasize this again: Sense & Sensibility was *wonderful*
also: I think it was undoubtedly a clever workaround to allow secondary cameras (which otherwise would've been visible on the edges) to remain out of frame!
the scene where a certain political figure is mentioned in You Can See Everything got the biggest gasp of disgust from my theater and in that moment I felt incredibly safe. incredibly affirming to be on the same page
It’s helpful for me to remind myself that Hunter Schafer—one of the most ethereally beautiful women in the world—still receives nonstop hate from trolls who claim she “doesn’t pass.” It just shows there’s no way to win with these folks, and their hate has zero relation to reality
