It is really sad to see this! Hubli once had a wonderful drainage system through its Raj Nallas. The central city Raj Nalla ran through Station Road, Koppikar Road and Dajibanpeth, eventually joining the main Unkal–Gabbur Raj Nalla at Chenpeth. Unfortunately, in the name of development, these natural drainage channels were covered up with shops, roads and footpaths. Over the years, they have not been adequately cleaned or maintained, allowing silt, plastic and garbage to accumulate and block the flow of rainwater. Today, we are paying the price, with flash floods and waterlogging in several parts of the city along these very drainage routes. The solution is not just pumping out water after every downpour, but restoring and rejuvenating our existing drainage network. @HdmcHubliDwd must undertake a comprehensive survey, remove blockages, ensure regular desilting and implement a permanent, long-term solution. Hubli deserves better planning and a sustainable drainage system to prevent this recurring misery. @arunkbh @DC_Dharwad @nagabhushanb @AmitSUpadhye @Nalavade @anilmdesai @Hubballi_Infra @HdmcHubliDwd @prashantadur @hublimandi @Namma_HD @Namma_Dharwad @varungrao @Hublirailusers @vishwanath1241 @upendrakukanur @sachinshetti8 @HDCityTraffic @DgpKarnataka @compolhdc @VijayaRKumar @osd_cmkarnataka

Only in India can a mountain road turn into a ZIPLINE FOR VEHICLES! 🇮🇳😂 No bridge. No proper road. Just vehicles being hauled across a mountain gorge on suspended cables. What looks like an extreme adventure is sometimes a lifeline for remote communities where rugged terrain makes road connectivity nearly impossible. Imagine crossing this in an SUV! 😳 Would you trust these cables with your car or turn back immediately? 👇

In an unusual sight from Assam, an elephant has taken on the task of ploughing agricultural land, offering a striking alternative to conventional farming methods. The incident is reported from Murphulani, near Numaligarh, where Atul Karmakar is using a tusker named Manik to plough his farmland. Guided by his mahout, the elephant can be seen moving across the field and turning the soil with its powerful steps.

Thanks to Police Commissioner Shri Bhushan Borase Sir for this much-needed initiative! 👏👏 Intelligent Traffic Management with AI-powered cameras and smart signals is exactly what Hubballi-Dharwad needs to tackle traffic congestion, improve road safety, and ensure better traffic discipline. A timely and welcome step towards making our twin cities smarter, safer, and more efficient. Congratulations to the Police Commissioner and the entire team for this commendable initiative! 💐 @compolhdc @DgpKarnataka @arunkbh @DC_Dharwad @nagabhushanb @AmitSUpadhye @Nalavade @anilmdesai @Hubballi_Infra @HdmcHubliDwd @prashantadur @hublimandi @Namma_HD @Namma_Dharwad @varungrao @Hublirailusers @vishwanath1241 @upendrakukanur @sachinshetti8 @HDCityTraffic @VijayaRKumar @osd_cmkarnataka

Finally, the govt. has accepted what many of us had been flagging for years now - the HDBRTS design has significant design and implementation flaws. Let's not forget, that 5000 trees and 3 water bodies have been sacrificed for the project dubbed as a sustainable transport initiative. And the govt. also did not agree to run electric or CNG buses in place of diesel vehicles. Now, yielding to constant pressure by the people, the govt has floated RFPs to fix the unscientific design. But it appears no more than a patchwork. And the govt. itself doesn't seem to believe in it, as it has also floated an RFP for a tramway on the same corridor. We are in a serious policy doldrum here. It is high time for the govt to think beyond patchwork and conduct studies for a futuristic city-wide multimodal metropolitan public transport system including sub-urban railway, bus, metro rail, etc. and not just for the corridor between Hubballi and Dharwad as the current system does. Some of my inputs carried in todays Deccan Herald. @CMofKarnataka @Dr_Yathindra_S @hd_brts deccanherald.com/india/karna…

Replying “NO” can empty your bank account ⚠️ Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, has warned of a new WhatsApp scam in which no OTP is shared and no link is clicked. How it works: 1.Fraudsters send a fake WhatsApp message from an unknown or international number, saying money has been debited from your account. 2.A second message follows: “If you did not make this transaction, reply NO.” 3.In panic, victims reply “NO”. Hidden links and malware scripts in the message then activate on their own (an “auto execution file attack”), giving hackers full control of the phone. The money disappears within moments. The Commissioner said a chartered accountant recently lost lakhs of rupees this way. What to do: ✅ Never respond to WhatsApp messages about bank transactions from unknown numbers, not even with “Yes” or “No”. Block the number and delete the message. ✅ If you get a debit alert, don’t panic. Log in to your official net banking or mobile app and check your statement. ✅ No bank asks for “Yes” or “No” replies on WhatsApp. If in doubt, call only the official toll-free customer care number on your passbook or the back of your card. Lost money? Call the national cyber helpline 1930 immediately or file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. Reporting within the first hour, the “golden hour”, gives the best chance of freezing the fraudsters’ accounts and saving your money. One hasty “NO” can wipe out a lifetime’s savings. Stay alert. 🚨

Indians have contributed immensely to the growth of the US economy, especially in the IT sector. Perhaps it is time to bring that talent, experience and wealth back home. 🇮🇳 We have helped build America. Now, let us come together to build India! If we are no longer welcome there, let us turn that challenge into an opportunity to make India a global technology powerhouse. Our talent, our hard work, and our future belong here too. 🇮🇳💪 @arunkbh @nagabhushanb @anilmdesai @Hubballi_Infra @hublimandi @Namma_HD @Namma_Dharwad @Hublirailusers @vishwanath1241 @upendrakukanur @BhatAnvesh @HdmcHubliDwd @DMA_MRC @HDCityTraffic @compolhdc

Hubballi-Dharwad bypass update as of 2nd October 2026 from Narendra Cross to Karwar Road. (1/3) As per the RTI response, NHAI said the likely completion date is 31.03.2027. Let's see if @NHAIROBengaluru commits to the deadline. Important: The opened stretch is bumpy at many places, and temporary asphalt is not done for the temporary diverted road that is causing huge dust. I request commuters to drive slowly (within 60 km/h) until NHAI levels the bumpy stretch present at many places across the section. At some stretch, the asphalt layer is uneven, and it will impact the vehicles if driven at high speed. Here are my observations: 1. The road from Narendra Cross to Hotel Grand Palace is open on both sides. From there till Kelageri, one side is opened before Kelageri diversion. The asphalt in the opp lane has been removed for re-asphalting for many months (even before the monsoon), and it looks stopped now. 2. The temporarily diverted road before Kelageri is in a pathetic stage. Dust, bumpy stretches. Looks like NHAI officials and contractors didn't inspect this. They could have temporarily asphalted the road to prevent dust. But no, commuters are made to inhale dust. 3. The ramp from Kelageri to Hubballi is in progress
