Measles is treatable in healthy people. Live viruses vaccines shed. Media spreads fear about measles & people fall for it. There is nothing new about this fear porn.
Meanwhile, 115,000 children slip into autism a year in the US at least 30k will be profoundly autistic. The problem with profound autism is there is a high level of wandering/elopement. Many of these elopers will meet a tragic death. Usually in water. On average SEVEN CHILDREN PER MONTH WITH SEVERE AUTISM ARE FOUND DEAD AFTER WANDERING. Yet, there is total silence on this crisis.
Could you imagine if seven children were dying a month from measles? We would never hear the end of it. But, because children are dying from a byproduct of having disabling autism we get nothing.
If you're wondering why I bring this up- I'll tell you. Many parents blame the MMR for disabling their child. I'm one of those parents.
I'll take a bout of measles over lifelong severe autism any day.
