St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits.

Ethiopian Bible is the 0ldest and most complete biblè òn eàrth. Written in Ge’ez an ancient language of Ethiopia, it’s nearly 8OO years older than the King Jàmes Vèrsion and contains 81-88 books compared to 66. It includes the Book of EN0CH, Esdras, Buruch and all 3 Books of MÀCCABEE, and a host of others that was excòmmunicated from the KJV.

As we commemorate the #Assumption of #StMary, we give thanks for the example given through her; that God will often choose the unlikely through whom to do the extraordinary…a simple girl chosen to be the #Theotokos, to carry the #IncarnateWord, and so becoming the second heaven.

🕯DAY 8: ADORE ‘Adoring God is something we are called to do. Not because He requires us… but because when you look at His attributes, His love, His sacrificial nature, you can do nothing but adore.’ Beautiful reflection on 'Adore' from @BishopAngaelos for #ThyKingdomCome2022.

Today I would like to share another book that I really enjoyed: ‘Atomic habits’. It taught me about the importance of small habits, consistency, time keeping, self-discipline, good planning, and preparation. All valuable lessons that help me to achieve my goals.

The #Ethiopian Saint Abba Takla Haymanot has a very prominent position in the #Coptic Orthodox Church. The Coptic church celebrates his annual feast and commemorates the Ethiopian saint's departure date/occurs on the 24th day of Mesra according to the Coptic calendar = August 31
Today is the feast of Takla Hāymānot, perhaps the most famous #Ethiopian saint. He is venerated by the Coptic Church and, uniquely, an account of his life was translated from Ge‘ez into Arabic. ABMQ 00403 contains a copy of the rare Arabic text. View: vhmml.org/readingRoom/view/5…
