Unbelievable how quickly it took me to abandon all my principles and start being British for attention
Was discussing my upcoming travel plans with my family and my mum said “so what even is there to do other than the prison?” which is when I realised that she has been under the impression that I am going not to Guatemala but to Guantanamo Bay
I’ve been a big brave girl and gone to a fancy restaurant by myself tonight but i brought a notebook - mostly bc I do actually want to write about the food, but also to make me feel less lame - but 1. I have forgotten my pen
Fortunately mere seconds i arrived the fire alarm started blaring and no one could stop it for a good five minutes and now it’s just letting out intermittent high pitched screeches, which makes me feel less embarrassed but is probably mortifying for them if they think there are
I’ve been in some terrible stations in my time but nothing has ever made me feel as bleak as Stratford International
So glad I have parents supportive enough for me to take an extended leave of unemployment so I can focus on playing 50 games of sudoku a day
