Three and a half years ago, I wrote up my personal mission statement and values.
I revisited them today and they still hold 100% true. I expect to say the same thing in 50 years.

Why does the world have six degrees of separation? I did some quick math.
Most research says you can maintain social relationships with around ~150 people, max. (Google "Dunbar's number" for more.)
A lot of our networks are clustered, though: your friends and coworkers probably share a lot of the same friends and coworkers.
So let's say everyone only knows 45 people that don't overlap with the rest of their friend group. Those 45 people each know 45 new people, etc.
The inevitable consequence is that employers will rely more and more on internal referrals - this is the main reason I’ve built @warmerjobs
In 1995, the average person consumed 1.5 KB of data/day. In 2025, that number is 74 GB.
Software may be eating the world, but sometimes it should be eaten in small bytes. It's an honor to have lent my voice to @krazamtv's movement.
Full song available on their Patreon soon.
This is a big reason I started @warmerjobs

This is a major reason I started warmerjobs.com.
Cold applications are dead. Internal referrals are often the only way in now.

Michael's empathy, integrity, and get-things-done mentality will help SF reach its full potential. Excited he's running for the board of supervisors.
Made the call — super easy. Thank you @r00k for making me aware!

I worked with Michael and have known him for years - his empathy, integrity, and get-things-done mentality will help SF reach its full potential.
I've started thinking of small grocery store purchases as buying the *option* to eat something, rather than the thing itself.
For example, I bought $3 of "the option to eat zucchini" a week ago. I never ate it, and it went bad, so I threw it out.
In the past, I would have beaten myself up for not eating all the food I bought, but because I bought the *option* to eat zucchini, I just decided not to exercise it and ate something more delicious instead.
(Not sure this works for larger purchases.)
A @got_users client just closed a $250K deal from a funnel tweak that took about 30 seconds of work.
All they did was add a clear call-to-action at the end of a podcast episode. That's it.
You can experiment anywhere in your funnel. The hard part is knowing where to focus.
I've reviewed 100s of applications for marketing roles at startups. Here are some real (anonymized) answers we've gotten to the question, "Why do you want to become a growth marketer? Use an informal tone, like you were writing an email to a friend."
Guess who got a job offer.
