सवाल ये नहीं है कि मोदी सरकार ने लॉबिंग फर्म क्यों हायर कीं। पहले भी सरकारें ऐसा करती रही हैं, इसलिए ये कोई नई बात नहीं है।
मगर दुखद बात ये है कि अमेरिकी अधिकारियों से फोन पर बातचीत करने के लिए भी सरकार को लॉबिंग फर्म की ज़रूरत पड़ रही है।
सरकार ने जेसन मिलर की लॉबिंग फर्म SHW Partners LLC के ज़रिए जो आठ फोन करवाए उनमें से दो विदेश मंत्री को, एक वित्तमंत्री को और दो उप सुरक्षा सलाहकार को थे। इसके अलावा तीन फोन निचले स्तर के अधिकारियों को थे।
अब सवाल उठता है कि क्या हमारा विदेश मंत्रालय और अमेरिकी दूतावास इतना अक्षम हो गया है कि फोन की व्यवस्था भी अपने दम पर नहीं कर सकता....अगर ऐसा है तो ये महापतन बहुत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है।
एक और दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बात ये है कि लॉबिंग फर्म का इस्तेमाल प्रधानमंत्री ने निजी छवि को चमकाने के लिए किया। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने जब चुने हुए प्रधानमंत्री का रिकॉर्ड बनाया तो ट्रम्प से सोशल मीडिया पर बधाई संदेश जारी करवाया गया। इस संदेश पर बीजेपी की ओर से ख़ूब शोर मचाया गया, जबकि ये एक तरह से पेड संदेश था।
अब सोचिए कि हमारे टैक्स से मोदी जी देश की नहीं, अपनी छवि चमकाने में लगे हुए हैं। क्या लॉबिंग फर्मों को इसीलिए हायर किया गया। हमें पता नहीं कि और कौन से काम उनसे करवाए गए।
