More production in the United States = an additional 100,000+ full-time jobs yearly. It's time: our federal government needs to step up and offer a Federal Film & TV Production Incentive. Let Congress know you support this incentive: actionnetwork.org/letters/mo….

Attendees at the IATSE Officer Institute in Denver are walking the walk! They are sending letters to their legislators in support of the Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act (MPTERA) H.R. 10582 / S. 5552, which would create a federal incentive to help bring film and television production, and the good union jobs that come with it, back to the United States. They are also inviting their local kin to do the same! Join them and contact your reps today: actionnetwork.org/letters/te…

The real stars of Hollywood are the production workers who build the sets, hang the lights, and keep shoots running. I was proud to stand alongside them to voice how important this jobs bill is for our local economy.
Let’s get this passed and bring production home.

LA County has felt the impact of fewer film and TV productions, from lost jobs to millions of dollars leaving our local economy.
That’s why I’m proud to cosponsor the bipartisan Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act led by @RepFriedmanCA to create a national tax credit that brings productions and good-paying jobs back home.

My Opportunity Zones have already shown what’s possible when we unleash private investment in overlooked communities.
By encouraging film production in all corners of America, we can create jobs, attract new investment, and give more communities a chance to shine! #MakeFilmsInAmericaAct

When film production leaves America, movie stars still get their paychecks.
But the people who bring films to life - the four minutes of names scrolling during the credits - are the ones who pay the price.
My film bill supports the camera operators, makeup artists, construction workers, costume designers, caterers, and small businesses who make the magic happen! #MakeFilmsInAmericaAct

American audiences in the streaming era have more access to a wider variety of films and shows than at any time in history. Viewers decide when, where, and how to watch at different prices (including free ad-based options) that make sense for their families. That’s why more than 70% of Americans view streaming favorably (with even higher support among younger consumers and in communities of color) and nearly 75% think streaming services should be regulated the same or less than they are today. Adding blunt government mandates into the greenlighting process will only dampen production and discourage creative risk-taking – winding back the clock on decades of streaming-powered progress. nytimes.com/2026/10/14/busin…

We have never been closer to passing a federal film tax incentive and bringing the movie magic back to America.
Nowhere will that be felt more than in the backyard of California’s film and television industry, Los Angeles County.
With the support of the White House and both sides of the aisle, and from the unions and the moviemakers who deliver the magic to our theaters, I am hopeful we can finally get this done.

This bill is extremely important to send a message that American storytelling does not just happen in California or New York. It happens all over America, including rural America.

This is a federal incentive that, if passed, would help bring film and television jobs back to the United States. Major entertainment unions and organizations strongly support the legislation and are pushing for Congress to pass it.

MPTERA is a federal entertainment industry incentive that, if passed, will help level the playing field, bring film and television jobs back to the United States, and strengthen opportunities for entertainment workers.
