I love when @NYTGames gets a little silly.

1) this isn’t California wide. This is Ventura County. 2) there are lots of ballot styles, and they position different races, differently, so where this ballot lines up different from other styles in county. 3) the envelopes are purchased and made well before the candidates are determined. Sometimes over a year in advance. 4) the hole is a common design feature and serves two purposes: a) so when election workers take ballot cards out of envelope, they can quickly look to see if grabbed all of them, b) it’s an alignment mark that visually impaired can use to know where to sign 5) as the narrator says in video, you can easily fold your ballot so nothing shows 6) what’s the theory of fraud here? That postal employee is gonna throw your ballot out after looking at that hole? You think the election office wouldn’t notice if hundreds of ballots thrown out? 7) also, you can track your ballot to make sure it arrives an election facility 8) or you can drop off at a drop box and then picked up directly by election workers 9) I know this is your profit model — posting videos like this — but it’s an immoral and idiotic profit model.
California is rigging the elections

The Justice Department's last-second letters about noncitizen voting contain people with no history of voting whatsoever, and they're moving so fast they sloppily sent one county the wrong list of names.

Oh good. The federal agents who showed up at a Florida early voting site were apparently hoping to vote, except THEY WEREN'T REGISTERED TO VOTE IN THAT COUNTY AND DIDN'T REALIZE THEY COULDN'T VOTE THERE. Federal agents who don't know how voting works. Terrific.

1/ Everyone knows Vance is lying. What a lot of people don't know is that we can show just how intentional the profiteering is. When Trump became the presumptive GOP nominee in 2024, he began forming dozens of new companies, and never stopped. He's formed dozens in office.
“I don’t think there’s evidence that the Trump family has become enriched by politics,” @JDVance tells @MarkHalperin. “I think the fact that their lives were so destroyed — almost destroyed —  I think is evidence that they sacrifice a lot for politics.” And what about his friend, Donald Trump Jr? “I don’t think the standard should be that the president’s son, who’s not involved in politics, should not be able to live his life. I think the standard should be that the president’s son should not be selling access to the president. And I see no evidence of that.”

NEW: This past weekend, Meta suspended the No Kings Instagram account for roughly 90 minutes. Americans need answers about whether the Trump admin was involved in this suspension. So we requested records immediately from DHS on Meta and No Kings.

NEW: The Secret Service claims to have “no responsive records” about Trump’s April memecoin gala at Mar-a-Lago, in response to a CREW FOIA request. The lack of records would imply that they did no vetting of Trump’s customers who got access to the president.
