Some more information on Oromo slavery in Somalia. The accounts ill be using for this thread are from Vittorio Bottego, an Italian colonial officer who traveled Jubaland and Ethiopia in the 19th century. He was killed in an attack by Local Oromos who were angered by his work.

#Somalis need to stay vigilant. As we know, some Oromo speakers know Somali because of their historical presence in Somalia and the hospitality they received. Be cautious of anyone who uses false identities or spreads division within our community. Stay alert, verify information, and don’t let anyone exploit our trust to turn Somalis against each other.

I can't get over how anti-Somali racism has reached such a level of psychosis that these people have deluded themselves into believing that Somalis of all people are ugly lmao. Just an echo chamber of racist memes supplanting any sense of reality.
The “inbred” comments about Somalis are so disingenuous. Consanguineous marriages are generally frowned upon in Somali culture, and Somalis tend to marry into different clans, spreading stereotypes without understanding a culture is ignorant and misleading

We went from "Horners have Eurocentric features. They're not indigenous to Africa" to
"Fulanis also have those features. You're not special. West Africans can also look like that."
So the anti-Horner hate was always rooted in envy.
