For every "why didn't they 'just' film on location", there's a producer, line producer, location manager and 1st AD with a really long list of why they didn't "just". Filmmaking is 99% spreadsheets and logistics and these people actually know how to do their jobs.

Don’t be surprised if The Samurai and the Prisoner becomes the Best Picture front runner soon. I think people are seriously underestimating how much this movie is going to connect with audiences including academy voters.

I went to see You Can See Everything again today with my son. His reaction was that Elizabeth Holmes shouldn’t be in jail because all the people she defrauded deserved to have ALL of their money taken, not just some of it, for falling for such an obvious scam.

The highlight of my day was waking up to find out I pissed off Whiplash stans by saying it’s a good movie! It is! It’s good! It’s not great though. Too much a run of the mill sports movie to be great.
