How to support someone who is grieving. I lost someone important to suicide almost exactly a year after she lost her husband to a vicious cancer. Never assume everyone else is checking on them once the storm has blown over for you.

Maybe tomorrow will be better. It’s hard at the moment. No lie. Everything is against us, and all businesses. However we have employees who are family to us. We will continue fighting for them. They deserve it. It’s only about our people now. Nothing else matters. Only our ppl.
I always thought SA might get me shot eventually but didn’t expect to feel so lucky, proud & overjoyed abt it! Feels like a turning point in the hopelessness of the last 1.5 yrs (looting aside). Somerset Hospital is impressive, clean, organised & official. 10/10 recommend.

The Minister of Defence just told Parliament that the number of SANDF personnel deployed to restore order will be increased to 25 000 for three months. Not all will be ground troops, with some portion in support roles, but it's still the SANDF's biggest deployment since 1994. 1/

Since I was in high school I wanted to be an organ donor. I registered and everything, while I was still at school. But now that I’ve had chemo I can’t and I’m really cut up about it.
