A cool mixing thing i learned is that saturation can also be used as a form of soft knee compression.
You can see it in action with plugins like the PSP Saturator and, oddly enough, the Decapitator.
So if you want to control and excite a sound a little bit, you could try that 😄
A mad film only needs to be marketed once to make $100 million
But a lackluster film needs $100 million marketing to get $20 million
So it's important to clean up, arrange, and tune your vocals properly before thinking about reverb, delay, eq, or compression.
