I totally disagree with this whole idea of people being initiators or reciprocators. Think about it: if you’re waiting for a man to initiate something because you believe that’s his role, he might as well be sitting somewhere waiting for you to initiate too. Now both of you are waiting, and nothing is happening. Relationships shouldn’t be a competition over who makes the first move or who does more. Stop turning genuine expressions of love into a game of who should do what first. Sometimes, you initiate. Sometimes, the other person does. It shouldn’t always be a power struggle.
