Your yearly reminder: Herb Deromedi rocked this rivalry. As head coach, Deromedi went 13-2-1 against WMU. He didn’t lose to the Broncos in his first 10 games and won five straight in Kzoo. He’s the reason Central leads the series 29-21-1 since both teams have been D1.

I’m in the minority because, I know, *less baseball*, but I am in favor of less games. I’ve long thought they should remove 10-20 games and split it between the start and end of the season. It’s a bad product when temps are under 40°.

Major League Baseball proposed cutting the regular-season schedule from 162 games to 154 games in a bargaining session with the MLBPA today. Also part of its proposal: higher seeds in playoffs get to choose their opponents, and division series expand to seven games.
