movie rant & res evil spoilers read at ur own risk,, i did like res evil but i wish they hadnt gone down such a comedic route especially with the side characters. brian's comedy kind of made sense, but everyone else felt like a caricature and it rlly took away from the movie imo. i also wish we'd gotten some proper closure with Michelle and that whole situation. after the vm its just kind of forgotten. i guess his phone became part of the mutation(?) so the vm will never be heard, but it wouldve been nice to linger on that or recognise that Michelle will never hear from him again :( im not sure why they decided to cast umbrella corp scientists as a group of grad students - again, i feel like a more serious take on umb corp wouldve been a nice relief from the comedy and a comfortable tie back to the games which are a lot more serious in most ways but maybe this is a personal preference? anyway i purposely avoided spoilers and opinions before seeing it because i was rlly excited for it, so now i feel happy sharing my thoughts. feel free to fight me or change my mind in comments, i wanna see what u all thought
