1/ Australia already runs on an unwritten code. A fair go. A handshake. A mate who shows up. Before blockchain, there was bush logic. Before agents, there were people who just did the right thing. AussieOS is that code — rewritten for a digital century.

1/ If you’ve ever walked out of a pitch meeting feeling like you told a completely different story than the one you meant to tell — you’re not losing the plot.
The system is built to make that happen.
I mapped exactly why.

Also built this tool alongside the research — paste your pitch in and it reads it back through six institutional lenses at once, then shows exactly where they disagree.
Free, no signup.
Run it on something real, not a hypothetical: aussieos.xyz/apps/hall-of-mi…
5/ Built Different is a founder’s field guide to the Australian digital economy. Hall of Mirrors framework. Q1 2026 data.
Read it here — aussieos.xyz/builtdifferent
4/ Here’s what nobody says out loud about the Australian capital stack: the Series B gap isn’t a funding problem. It’s structural. Generalist VCs with $200–400M FUM can’t lead $20–50M growth rounds without dangerous concentration.
That’s not a gap — that’s an unclaimed thesis.
3/ Most Australian founders are leaving serious money on the table.
The R&D Tax Incentive returns up to 43.5 cents in the dollar as cash. Not a deduction. Cash.
The full breakdown’s in the report — including the proposed 2028 changes.
2/ Per Cut Through’s Q1 2026 data, three of Australia’s newest unicorns share something odd: not one is SaaS.
Advanced Navigation. Gilmour Space. Neara.
All physical-world systems. The next generation of Australian unicorns looks nothing like the last one.

Built a free tool that runs your pitch through six institutional lenses at once (VC, angels, grants, government, accelerators, corporates) and shows where they disagree. No scores, no invented evidence. Keen for feedback, tell me where it’s wrong: aussieos.xyz/apps/hall-of-mi…
9/ Live dashboard’s up. First real attestation is imminent — self-scored, disclosed as such, evidence public. FGV/A/T/O/D numbers aren’t seeded — genuine output of the real scoring engine. aussieos.xyz/fairgo
8/ Right now it’s off-chain, deliberately. The Solana program is written but unaudited and undeployed — off-chain scoring is all that runs today. You don’t hook a scoring system into consequences before it’s held up to scrutiny on its own.
7/ “Portable” is the actual bet. A score that only means something inside one app is just that app’s risk flag with better branding.
6/ Most reputation systems fail exactly here — a populated dashboard looks more credible than an honest gap, so they extrapolate confidence they haven’t earned. I’d rather show you a hole than paper over it.
5/ The rule that actually matters: no invented scores. Ever. Nothing observable → I don’t guess. Real computed number off real behaviour, or clearly labelled demo data. Never dressed-up nothing.
4/ Weighting’s flat on purpose, and tunable later on purpose. Pretending you know the correct weights on day one is its own kind of fabrication.
3/ Composite score, FGV, sits between 0 and 1. Four sub-metrics, equal-weighted for now: Access Parity, Treatment Parity, Outcome Parity, Disclosure & Redress.
No identity resolution. No socials. No vouching. Just: how has this actor treated the people who dealt with it.
2/ Most answers are “nothing” (treat it neutral, get farmed) or “everything” (bolt on KYC, pseudonymity becomes theatre). Neither’s actually a trust system. Built FairGo to sit in the gap. Not “who is this” — behaviour-derived trust scoring for actors: agents, DAOs, systems.
