🚨The Trump administration’s attack on public education is an attack on our communities. Their attempt to eliminate the Department of Education will strip students of critical resources & threaten educators' jobs—all to fund tax cuts for billionaires. @austaffunion

Our neighbors are being harassed, surveilled, and detained by Trump’s DC police. But we refuse this militarization. On Sept 6, we hit the streets to say: This is our city. We live here. We work here. We raise our families here. #weareALLdc weareallDC.com @austaffunion

In 2022, the first year students walked out of convocation and joined our picket line, and marched with us to the president’s office.

everytime i see this video i tear up a bit the hundreds of students that walked out had only been on campus for a few days, had their move-in brought to a near standstill by the strike, and still chose to walk out and support the staff the kids are alright :’)

Today we connected with so many students (and some parents too) welcoming them to their union school and telling them about our contract fight.

We also talked with so many returning students, including quite a few who walked out of convocation in 2022 to join our picket line.

We were also joined by union siblings including @AUGradUnion and @AUAdjunctUnion, and our amazing @SEIU500 staff.

DC is a union town! ✊ Yesterday, over 30 union members from AU, GU, GWU & HU came together—adjuncts, grad workers & staff—building solidarity across campuses. Congrats @GAGE on your beautiful new space & thanks for hosting! @gwugwunited @austaffunion @augradworkersunion @SEIU
