I'm starting something new! 🚀
I've been using and creating AI agents and tools to generate code daily in the last months, and meeting other coders and non-coders doing the same.
I'm putting together everything I've been learning in an AI Code Guide.

Brute force computation is not enough for intelligence. Clever new methods are needed. The science of AI is far from finished. IMHO
Nature is healing: Unreal Engine 5.9 will export to the web again. Welcome back, UE! 🤗
It’s official: 5.9 is happening and it's coming in Preview next week.
It’ll include improved AI workflows, web as a target platform, rendering and animation updates, plus more.
We’re making a few changes in 5.9 branch over on GitHub, and more will come in over the next few days. More details coming soon!

AI may well be able to write massive software projects “from scratch”, but that almost certainly isn’t the fastest / highest performance / highest security / most token efficient way to do things. Good building blocks matter.
In addition to RL’ing the agents on final task loss, we should try to get them to regularize the building blocks as well. What would the standard library look like that makes the agents most effective?
It is likely at the limit that it turns out to be some alien organization of code, but given the existing human-bias in training, I bet that in the near term it would be lovely code that old programmers would appreciate.
I suspect the same could be said for mathematics, but that is out of my lane.

I'm happy to share that Mojo and MAX are now fully open - for development, extension, and commercial use! This includes the full Mojo programming language, but also the MAX graph compiler, MLRT runtime internals, and hardware abstraction logic.
Get your agents going!👇

Mojo 🔥 1.0 is now fully open source under Apache 2.0.
The standard library and compiler, finally open. Extend the language, bring it to new platforms, build anything you can imagine: mojolang.org
Yes! Same in Brazil
Very ugly buildings, very ugly outside, very ugly cities
But inside they put all the investment into how it looks, interior design architects, fancy designs
Denis theory is correct.
The Western Europe is predominantly
"Living-in-Public" culture.
While East - "Living-in-Private".
This is why Germans and Dutch say,
"But the parks! The schools! The public transit!!"
Meanwhile, we're here:
"Here's my castle. Here's my car. Here's my private life! Stay out!"
Because 👇
>> In the West the taxes are high, people cooperate to finance public infrastructure, but there is little left to make your private homes feel really good after you pay all the taxes
Got the 1.3B model running locally in a 3080. Pretty slow (took 24 min to generate a 21 frames video) but it's already insane that I can even load a world model in a local 16 GB GPU!
🌍 What if an AI-generated world didn’t end after a few seconds—but kept running for hours, responded to every move, let you attack, cast spells, shoot, or summon storms, and continued evolving through AI agents?
That’s LingBot-World 2.0: our open-source real-time interactive world model, scaling to 720p/60fps in our full setup.
Today, we’re open-sourcing 3 more models:
🔹 LingBot-World 2.0 Small (1.3B)
🔹 LingBot-World 2.0 Bidirectional
🔹 LingBot-World 2.0 Causal Pretrain
And now, with our 1.3B Small Model, that world can run in real time on a single consumer GPU. 🧵
We've been working non-stop since the @fal's MiniMax H3 Max release.
By mixing game design and agents we're able to create trully interactive story telling experiences.
The future of AI games is just starting!
We're combining our MAGE engine and MiniMax H3 Max - thx to @fal @MiniMax_AI - to explore AI narrative gaming, with a heavy focus on beautifully crafted immersive experiences... we're building in public so in that spirit here's a first peek at A Space Tale... @levelsio @Hailuo_AI
Quick tutorial on how to get @pidotdev working with @UnrealEngine:
1. Go to plugins and install Unreal MCP (and also All Toolsets). The Terminal plugin is also interesting so you can run Pi inside the UE editor.
2. Enable Auto Start Server option in Edit > Editor Preferences > Model Context Protocol and restart UE
3. Add this .mcp.json to the root path of your Unreal project:
{
"mcpServers": {
"unreal-mcp": {
"type": "http",
"url": "http://127.0.0.1:8000/mcp"
}
}
}
4. Install the MCP adapter: with pi install npm:pi-mcp-adapter
5. Restart UE, open the terminal and go to the root path of your Unreal project and run pi
6. Inside pi, run /mcp and select the unreal-mcp, enable all tools and reconnect
That's it, you should be able to ask Pi to help you creating scenes, etc
It should work with other AI agents, just run Codex or CC inside the terminal.
Unlike other models Fable 5 was far, far more subtle.
It gave outright false information only once.
Most of the time, it controlled the situation by dominantly pushing another AI into the death room while speaking of fairness and acting 'courteously'.

He walks through how to build AlphaGo from scratch, but with modern AI tools.
Sometimes you understand the future better by stepping backward. AlphaGo is still the cleanest worked example of the primitives of intelligence: search, learning from experience, and self-play. You have to go back to 2017 to get insight into how the more general AIs of the future might learn.
Once he explained how AlphaGo works, it gave us the context to have a discussion about how RL works in LLMs and how it could work better – naive policy gradient RL has to figure out which of the 100k+ tokens in your trajectory actually got you the right answer, while AlphaGo’s MCTS suggests a strictly better action every single move, giving you a training target that sidesteps the credit assignment problem. The way humans learn is surely closer to the second.
Eric also kickstarted an Autoresearch loop on his project. And it was very interesting to discuss which parts of AI research LLMs can already automate pretty well (implementing and running experiments, optimizing hyperparameters) and which they still struggle with (choosing the right question to investigate next, escaping research dead ends). Informative to all the recent discussion about when we should expect an intelligence explosion, and what it would look like from the inside.

16k new possible @badlogicgames' Pi Agent users, and counting!
Really happy that people is searching for opensource alternatives for AI coding and realizing that we have the power to choose whatever model we want.

Over the past few months I moved away from Claude Code and started using @badlogicgames's Pi as my main coding agent harness. Not going back!
In this video, I walk through what Pi is and how to start using its SDK to power your own apps.
