I talked with Stephen Colbert about why I follow my curiosity, not the headlines—and how every book begins with something that just doesn’t sit right with me. #amwriting #writingcommunity #writercommunity #newbook #authors #nonfiction #curiositydriven #MichaelLewis #writerslife

I’m eager to see what the fuzz about Tainted Cup is, but who can concentrate under this uncomfortable stare? I started reading out loud and she left. Definitely not a fan. Now I wonder if I should read the Conjurer’s Prophecy for her and risk having my heart shattered.

I did collect many more ribbons but I chose not to use all as my child wanted a match to all the ones I had and he had tripped twice over his already. Well, he will be taller next year.

Dark Town! This book is so descriptive that I feel hungry when I read about their feasts, or the smell of cinnamon, lavender… I love when authors play with senses - if you read my books you will see I do the same, so I really appreciate when another author does it. 🫶🏻

Temerity’s inventory is hilarious. She basically hoarders half the tavern 😂 Relatable to any player preparing for the game. I remember my players, carrying 100lbs of stuff. From time to time I made them roll the dice for strength and leave something behind or lose something.

I had such a fulfilling experience at WorldCon. It was a pleasure sharing with readers a little bit of the ideas behind the Conjurer’s Prophecy Trilogy and signing The Pandora’s Box (book 1) so they could take a customized piece of my world - now ours - home.

Seattle Worldcon is a wrap! Much fun was had, new friends made, and books discovered. The Freebies Lounge was a success, with over 5,000 books given to avid readers. It was also a gathering place for the Indie community, and I thank everyone for their help and good vibes. Here are a few random photos. I did not get photos of all the books, since the lounge was very crowded at times, and as soon as the indie books were put out, they were taken!! More photos in the comments.

I flew in, so I had to really prioritize what I brought with me from WorldCon. This is my new TBR pile, directly from the Freebies Lounge. Mind you that some of these are signed 🫶🏻 #tbrpile #worldcon #seattleworldcon2025 #author #books @seattle2025
