i'm tired of seeing this stuff and think it might be time for me to drop an opinion on this shit hole website - i think, regardless of what your own personal stance is on outright or assistive artistic generative AI, it's delusional to think you can post, let alone SELL, generated art content (models, art/textures, music) without throwing your reputation in the gutter. Sorry not sorry, image and model generation might seem cool and all but I can still tell your X profile pfp and banner are generated, your world thumbnail is generated, your VRChat club music stream and poster art is generated, your stream starting screen and brb screen are generated, your Xeets are all generated, the music you post on youtube is generated, etc. And they either look or sound like every other default AI art, or look *way* too detailed, or god forbid include some copyrighted character that the AI won't generate perfectly so it "doesn't infringe". It looks like shit. People, including me, hate you if you use this art unironically. You need to be bullied. I'm not saying I think people's rights to use generative AI should be restricted. I'm saying we're so deep in the VRChat autism hole that not only do ppl who don't log off think genAI won't ruin their online reputation, VRChat itself is casually reXeeting genAI content, without any disclosure, that your normal 9-5 working person with half a brain objectively won't like. We needed a genAI filter in VRChat like, 2-3 years ago with a "report as undisclosed AI" button to automatically categorize slop content into its own quarantine, with an appeals button for the creator to try and prove what level of AI they used. Why are we not quickly adding modern and asked-for features to websites, games and apps anymore? It also blows my mind that we're dealing with models and textures being generated for more "visually pretty" and cozy worlds before anyone started using LLMs more to write Udon code to post new horror maps, new game worlds, new fucking ANYTHING fun. I think assistive-ai coding is much more morally acceptable in touching-grass society as long as your code output works, and works well. But it seems like people are too lazy to even do that. VRChat world hopping and "game nights" have been dead for a while, and everyone seems to wonder why. Enjoy your public avatar database search worlds. Christ.
