Hey, Supreme Court, this type of shit is why the Voting Rights Act should still be a law. Republicans tried to boot all poor people off the voter rolls in Mississippi right before an election.
The reason there is so many affidavit votes is because the Mississippi Secretary of State purged the voting rolls by having Experian come in & clean them up which marked over 50,000 voters inactive before the midterms. So the only way they could vote was to vote by affidavit.

In the 1973 Texas Legislature, three powerhouses from Houston sworn in together as freshman representatives. The last of them may become the Texas House speaker in 2027. #txlege (L-R Ben Reyes, Senfronia Thompson, Mickey Leland) 📸HT @CarolforTexas

Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa became the first Latina woman elected statewide in Texas history. Hinojosa and Senator-elect James Talarico were part of the wave of Democrats who swept into office on Election Night. Their victories — and so many others — were powered by Hispanic voters. @AdrianaDiaz has more.

My campaign and others complained about this for months. This should’ve been a national story. Thank God @MSTODAYnews reported it and we and others were able to try to reach these voters. Local journalism matters!
Voter inactivations surged ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections, the first since the MS Secretary of State’s Office authorized unverified data from the credit bureau Experian for counties to use statewide when cleaning their voter rolls. Read more: ow.ly/Xj9s5104Jif

Lots of Mexicans in the comments are missing the point. The fact that this segment was on a morning show is novel. It just would NOT happen in the US. México is ahead of the US on things like this.
A straight cis ally was injected with PrEP on a National Morning show in Mexico. Imagine if it had been done in the US? It's incredible, and I'm happy to see it. Public health is universal.

Harry Enten makes that case that the fight for Mississippi is over. Scott Colom will be the next senator. And it will be excruciatingly hard for Republicans to flip the Senate in 2028.

Does @bbuk reset the votes after the freeze on the finale. Because they need to if they don’t. I feel like Twinks would have definitely won. #BBUK
