Been playing around with an idea for a while: what if CSS animations could run natively on web, iOS and Android? No DOM, no WebView. I've been calling it Popkorn 🍿. It's like CSS, but with extra goodies like interactivity and state machines sprinkled in usepopkorn.dev

Over the years, I tried many OSS design tools, and none really stuck, but @get_artcraft PhotoCraft and VectorCraft have quickly become part of my daily workflow. And they haven't even hit 1.0 yet!

File sizes are pretty small and the generative stuff works great out of the box because it builds on CSS. Nearly all the examples in the gallery are actually AI-generated. The playground has a Copilot that you can plug your own agent over MCP or BYOK an OpenAI-compatible provider

If you want to give it a spin today, you can generate something from scratch (or write CSS art by hand 👀), or drop in a Lottie or SVG file, prompt an animation, and then export as GIF, MP4 or Lottie when you're done.
