This is an excerpt from Sharjeel's interview and it argues that everything that is problematic within Islam is to be blamed on influences outside the religion itself. That religion itself is some blameless, pure entity corrupted by outside forces of shirk (Islamic sin of association).
Not only is this factually incorrect because religion is the source of and supports caste, gender, queer oppression, but it is also quite similar to how religio-supremacist movements like Hindutva view religion. The idea that caste is a western construct, is a later corruption, or that oppressive traditions like Sati were not mentioned in Vedas so not core religion, are all religio fascist ideas premised on the fact that the religion itself is a static entity which is pure, but people are not.
So religion isn't the problem but people are. Sharjeel's idea of a pristine religion that will liberate the Muslim is exactly the same as that of Hindutva.

I have a stable job and a family, and I am just 23, I don't want some twitter bullshit to damage any of that, freedom of speech is a joke in this country and I don't have any political connections that can save me in times of crisis like this one,,,,, I messaged a lot of my friends that I have made here on twitter, when I came to know about that FIR, and I can't Thank them enough, they have helped me a lot, although I don't know if that FIR Will Be Quashed Or Not, I am no longer in Fear, Whatever Happens, Happens, All Things Happen For Good, I panicked when I first saw that Email, Just Because I Don't Have Any Experience In Law ( although I will read more and more about it from now On).
