Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, on generative AI and the evolution of videogame creation: 'As you mentioned earlier, this is an era where even people who aren't game designers can make games. If we broaden the definition of a 'game,' I think the era has already arrived where everyone can make games. I had always thought it would be ideal for those boundaries to disappear, so I think this has become a very good era.' youtu.be/7M3S78Igxak?si=eaGY…

Que vídeo maravilhoso!
How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer? Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours. So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

I'm not sure a lot of people understand what game coders actually do. We're not spending 9 hours a day finely hand crafting artisan software and expressing our inner dreams... 90% of the time we are fighting compilers and existing architecture, having to work out how undocumented code works, and tracking down obscure bugs and behavioural issues. Most of game programming is just difficult, tedious, laborious grunt work, and the cognitive load we have to endure to get anything done is tiring and frustrating. No game coder is doing it for this 90% of the job. We make games because the 10% that IS actually about making things fun and expressing ourselves is so incredibly rewarding it makes the other 90% bearable. Now imagine if there was a tool, some kind of AI agent maybe, which could do most of the 90% grunt work for you, leaving you to just make all the decisions and express your creativity. How amazing would that be. How completely revolutionary would that be.

We got a new model Nambeige4.3-33B, a new dense model around 30B size 👀 Look at the benchmark score ! Scores 23.8 in Terminal Bench 4.0, for context qwen3.8-27b has a score of 6.3 ! Overall looks like a solid model, I'll be downloading it and giving it a shot, time to see how good it is.

From the Flux 3 character reference to a fully rigged character in Unreal Engine! Generated the high-poly model with Tripo 3.1, then used the Blender Agent inside the workflow to bake it down to low poly. Atlas rigging tools handled the rig and animations. The fingers came out especially well! Added cloth physics in Unreal Engine to give the generated cape mesh more movement. Check out the full workflow in the comments.

This indie dev is making a 2D platformer where you play as a zombie with a microwave stuck on his butt - Critical thinking based combat - Each enemy feels like a puzzle to solve - Almost everything dies in one hit, including you Game is Necrowave. Would you play this?

if you're an indie developer too small to score a devrel contact _and_ you're using a custom engine, I'd be happy to offer you a performance review pro-bono.
