Pretty meh trade for the Sixers IMO. Volume scoring, interior pressure + health are all big improvements. But it's a shooting/passing/defensive downgrade -- all things they really need -- on a bigger contract + 2 firsts. Jaylen is younger/better/healthier than PG, of course.

Maybe the Celtics missed the « Jaylen Brown trade-high value window », because back in January 2025 it (apparently) sounded crazy to trade him for Jimmy Butler. Now we’re talking about Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe. Timing is everything.

I sincerely thinks the analytics era was perfect for Jaylen Brown's skillset. It gave him more space as a ball-handler, offering him more room to grow his ball-handling, driving and passing skills. The analytics gave him and JT one of the best supporting cast ever in 2024.

The "analytics" were the reason behind Porzingis trade against Smart 💔. Look at this spacing, look at the number of ball-handlers, that's what analytics are about: building elite team that can play in space with multiple threats. Analytics made the 2024's title possible.
