Andrew Scott reveals how a two-hour conversation about love, life and religion with Phoebe Waller-Bridge helped inspire his iconic 'Hot Priest' character in Fleabag.
After the first season became a hit, Phoebe approached Andrew about playing a new character. The two went for a walk around Soho, eventually spending two hours talking inside a Quaker meeting hall, and that conversation became part of the story.
Andrew Scott: “We sat in there for about two hours and we just talked about love and life, and then she incorporated it into the story.”
“I sort of signed up to it with no script. She's so brilliant that she just incorporates things and, you know, that amazing mind is always at work.”
