Preparing the Home Assistant 2026.11 beta right now and... wow.
4,858 merged pull requests. Every record we've ever set for a release is gone, by about a thousand PRs.
Big new features, tons of fixes, and an insane amount of quality improvements. I'm not even kidding.

This might be the biggest thing I've shipped in Home Assistant. And also the most boring one.
HACS is now built in, as the Marketplace. If we did it right, you'll barely notice.
I wrote down how I look at it, and why it's called that 👇
Thank you for the donation to the @openhomefndn !!

Snap mode: no spring, just the motor pushing back and letting go, like a light switch. Felt like a throwback to working on VR inputs. Fun to build and fun to play with.

@balloob I have something similar already working with HA youtube.com/watch?v=WCuOerGP…
This is really cool. Who is going to integrate this into @home_assistant ?
I have discovered the the BEST way to get 3D modeling results from LLMs
The app LiDAR scans the room while taking hundreds of high quality photos.
Then a workflow + skill I've created models out every item recursively checking the model against the photo at the exact spot + angle where the photo was captured
The result is a a dimensionally accurate and high quality model of your room
All in my latest video on how to do it youtube.com/watch?v=JGQCcCzu…

Can confirm @wesbos 🙌 Used your kiosk app on my Frameo and turned it into a Home Assistant panel.
Why not load HA? On that 1 GHz CPU its own login page drops 80% of frames.
vanilla JS, one websocket, redraw only on change. 1.9 s to load, one embedded server to push new changes without having to unplug the frame, night mode, 0 jank.

I have discovered $50 amazon photo frames to be the PERFECT home display screen
They can be rooted, updated to run a modern browser, have WiFi and can be powered from USB
1280×800 resolution with a nice touch screen
I detailed how to hack these yourself in my latest video

I don't always change my lights' color. But when I do, I use motorized faders.
There are so many contributions happening to @home_assistant and the bigger Open Home ecosystem, too many to keep track off. Almost 2000 PRs merged in last 7 days for HA!
So I let my agents create the OHF Daily; a place to highlight the cool stuff, updated automatically.

£50 botframe now working as my living room @home_assistant dashboard with custom boot screen (as Copilot now knows everything to root my frame, might as well)
Once again, record numbers.
