My interview with Herbal Radio was released! You can listen on podcatchers or spotify or watch on youtube if you want to see my face.
It was fun to nerd out with Lucretia VanDyke about poisonous plants!
How it feels trying to peddle my apothecary wares on the internet that I make with herbs from my garden and the wilds. Anyone need potions, elixirs, salves, or soothing oils?
Apothecary restock and shop update this Sunday, October 25th at 1pm EST.
Pain relief balms, skincare oils, elixirs, and tinctures will be restocked. Special treats will include a violet & waterlily sampler and some botanical perfume surprises.

New mushroom just dropped! A new fungi species and possibly a whole new genus was just discovered in West Virginia by mycophile Drew Palmer while he was looking for a new zombie ant fungus for the Kanawha State Forest. It's currently under lab analysis.

Soon we'll learn if it's toxic and if belongs to any known fungi family. I love it when we find new species right under our noses!

Cloudy Monkshood
(Aconitum carmichaelii 'Cloudy')
This poisonous perennial prefers partial to full shade and blooms in autumn until the hard frosts start. Aconite seeds are uncommon due to their very short shelf-life and viability so look for live plants or bare roots.
Just watched Late Night with the Devil (2023). It's perfect. Go in blind for sure. The only thing that would make this horror movie more perfect is the credits rolling out to "The Devil's Eye" by Chris de Burgh.
Harvested the last of my eggplants as it's supposed to be very cold the next two nights. I want to make eggplant parmesan with roasted red pepper sauce. Both are nightshades and taste delicious together!
