Justin Heap is lying to YOU, again. Back in *February* he declared these 25 US citizens as “non-citizens”, patted himself on the back. He made this allegation against 137 folks but ONLY 8 turned out to have voted illegally. Today, Justin is spinning a sad 8-month episode’s ending
.@votewarren thought bubble: why on earth would @azjustinheap make @krismayes the champion of democracy 11 days before the election? #PoliticalMalpractice

Recorder Heap broke the law by blocking United States citizens from being placed on the voter rolls. There is nothing to mediate. These 24 voters are U.S. citizens. Let them vote.
JUST IN: Maricopa County Attorney @Rachel1Mitchell comes down HARD on @azjustinheap over his previous statements on the 52 voters he placed into ineligible status.
"This is not my opinion. This is not a made-up process. This is the law."
"We are now in a place where there is no reason to question the citizenship of 52 voters.
And there certainly is no confirmation that they are not citizens – quite the contrary – they are American citizens.
The law demands that they be allowed to vote."
So now we are just going to question every US citizen’s ballot status. Thats what the mediation will determine today. Can’t we just agree that a U.S. citizen is eligible to vote and should get a ballot?
Could you imagine if @Adrian_Fontes unilaterally decided to disenfranchise dozens of US citizens? The election integrity buffoons would (rightly) go ballistic. Yet they are giving @azjustinheap a total pass. All of a sudden it’s totally cool to screw over Americans.
Recorder @azjustinheap , U.S. Citizens have the right to vote! County Attorney @Rachel1Mitchell has told you these 24 voters, that you refuse to allow to vote, are indeed citizens. Are you accusing @Rachel1Mitchell of lying now???🥺
.@azjustinheap disenfranchising dozens of American citizens at election time sums up his brief yet disastrous tenure at @RecordersOffice Add to that the USPS nonsense and the wrong Election Day given by his office. And these are just the debacles we know about.
Boy @votewarren has to be annoyed at @azjustinheap @krismayes will get all kinds of free and positive publicity combating real election integrity issues while Petersen can only give Heap serious side eye. #AzAG
Interesting piece here. But a major omission: Where's a breakdown of how Arizona's Native American tribes with casinos donated to candidates? Surely they have been big players in campaign contributions to parties, PACs and candidates. azcentral.com/story/news/pol…
For the second straight election I gotta vote for @Adrian_Fontes for #AzSOS because he’s the only candidate in the race who’s not a full on election denier. But Adrian, please, in your next term fix your campaign finance website.
In @PeoriaAZ there may be 2 people running for mayor but really there is only 1 choice. Happy to vote for Michael Finn to lead the West Valley’s booming city.
I dropped off my ballot today. And @VoteKThompson was one of the easiest bubbles I had to fill in.
As '26 Phoenix council elections close, it's probably worth noting who is being mentioned as potential mayoral candidates in '28: @billgatesaz is already getting buzz, as is Kevin Robinson @phxdistrict6 @PHXDistrict5 Betty Guardado and Jim Waring, who is leaving the council
And while there are also some long shots like @yassaminansari who may look at it, so too could @laurapastoraz The race to succeed @KateWGallego will be fun to watch!
Is this intentional on @azjustinheap and @RecordersOffice to mislead the public and suppress the vote?

Not sure why Recorder @azjustinheap hasn't restored these U.S. citizens voting rights. It's important that U.S. Citizens can vote and non-citizens cannot.
UPDATE: Arizona Attorney General @AZAGMayes tells Maricopa County Recorder @RecordersOffice she is prepared to sue if his office does not reinstate voting rights to 24 Arizonans who were allegedly noncitizens—but were confirmed to be citizens by @Rachel1Mitchell. Expect action this week.
Are you saying @RecordersOffice disenfranchised a couple dozen voters eligible for federal ballots? You know who Heap should call right? @FBI
If you were supposed to get an early ballot and didn’t it’s important to call @azjustinheap @RecordersOffice at 602-506-1511 ASAP. They may be slow but getting your ballot is worth the call.
