As good a cancer piece as I’ve ever read.
“Figure out what's important to you in terms of, ‘If you only had a certain amount of time left & you had the flexibility to do it, what do you want to do with that time?’”
My brother has lived this for 20 years. I think about it daily.
One of the biggest influences on my career is Dr. Ross Camidge - a mentor and friend, an intellectual giant in the field of lung cancer who was diagnosed with this unforgiving disease himself. We are all at risk - and must all work to move the field.

Hadda happen. Solved the too-many-tomatoes-and-they-won’t-stop situation.
Thanks for a juicy red summer, maters, but it was time.
Don’t argue with time.
I watch few videos but was wholly taken by this 30 minutes.
Heartening! 🙇♀️
This is the clearest behind-the-scenes exposé of Theranos I've heard. @TylerShultz_ is my hero, and a funny guy too.
Per Tyler, every scientist there knew that not only did the technology and tests not work, but there was no real technology to begin with.

It’s Mid-October, people! Enough with the tomatoes!
Tower on the left is just the last week! (I lost count, about 33)
“My doctor told me I had CLL & I was numb; I didn’t hear the rest of what he said.”
Every patient when they get a cancer diagnosis!
Doctor, researcher, trialist, house favorite because he turned a bad community practice into a great one.
Really enjoyed this conversation.
Catch @jeff_sharman this Tuesday as we celebrate 300 episodes of #HealthcareUnfiltered with Jeff sharing his phenomenal book "Ghosts in the Blood" - a fascinating tale on the history of cancer through the lens of CLL.
A must watch & the book is a must read.
Sharing another clip.
Backgrounder on Pete Hegseth from a book by a military vet/investigative journalist on the Fort Bragg [drug] cartel.
His take on Hegseth, a mere sidebar to the Ft Bragg story, shocked me in its burning candor.
The northwest US doesn’t have the most glorious fall colors
But they’re not completely inconsiderable either.
The tomatoes just keep on a-coming.
And so does a thought for what could be plickening in my very near future. 🍅 🥓 🧐
Summer, you will be missed!

“If you see a deer while driving, remain calm and brake firmly.”
Implied but not directly stated: DO NOT SWERVE TO MISS. That causes no end of crashes & injuries. Every driver should have this drilled into their head, to counter the NATURAL IMPULSE to swerve to miss.
NO NO NO❗️

New clinical guidelines for iron deficiency from ASH aim to help identify cases that may otherwise go undiagnosed. Updated ferritin thresholds support earlier, more accurate diagnosis. Learn more: ow.ly/xOeg50ZOjwB @BloodPortfolio
