All jokes and trolling Giants fans aside, I really hope Payton doesn’t look at that fourth quarter as evidence things don’t need to change and they’re “close” because it’s evidence to the contrary. Just call your offense. Let Bo drop back without the complimentary stuff being the focal part of the offense and let it be just complimentary. Give him the pure dropback stuff you’re forced to call in comeback situations all game and let him make reads and throws. Sometimes it will look like it did tonight, sometimes it won’t look pretty, but the conservative approach is hurting the offense more than helping as of late. Let him be your QB.

Nix just can’t get these checks in quick enough. We shouldn’t be wasting a timeout on the first drive of the game on a third and two call.

Bo Nix had a chance to close out both LA losses last year, had a chance to beat the Bengals in overtime when Mims was wide open, could’ve closed out the game against Indy last week, and had at least three chances to close out today. He didn’t make a single play in any of those five games.
