Every friend group has a game-night rule. Ours is simple "loser buys the pizza"
Nobody ever asks where the pizza money goes. It goes into the winner's stomach. Everyone's happy, nobody does accounting, and the night carries on.
Now imagine a different rule. Everyone pays to play, and the host doesn't keep a single coin. He sets the whole pile on fire, right there on the table. Then he pays the winners from a prize jar he filled last week.
